Most of these mouthy children would shit in their spider-man underoos if they had a chance to actually drive any of these cars they talk about, including the GTR. And I mean drive them for real, not just in Gran Turismo.

Someone keeps 1upping you? That's just part of life, someone will always be 1 upping you, whether its your car, your house, your boat, hell even your kids and wife. It's just how life is...and the only thing you do about it is just live....

Spit some coffee. Read the ride is beyond rough. I would like some time in one and then give it back. But if I was loaded I could see having one. A review of the new GT3, although around 120K, mentioned it was for people who enjoy working the car while the GTR is more of just stomping the pedal down. All the wizardry in the dash is the anti choice for me personally. What is all that data good for? 2009 Nissan GTR Premium Black with Black Interior – 3,587 miles Mine’s Titanium Exhaust MXP Midpipe HRE 21x9.5 and 21x11.0 595R Satin Black Powder Coat Centers with Chrome Lip Front Tires: Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 245/35-21 Rear Tires: Continental Contisport Contact 295/30-21 Ventross by Vorsteiner Dry Carbon Front Bumper Painted Black with Center Grill Kept Carbon Fiber Ventross by Vorsteiner Dry Carbon Rear Diffuser Paint Matched Side Skirts and Front Bumper Nissan Japan OEM Front and Rear Clear Corners Eibach Springs $89,000 Last edited by gonzo; 07-18-2009 at 07:42 AM.. |

R8 is a chick car. *ducks*
Seriously, though. GTR is definitely the most capable, technologically advanced car out there for the price. People will cry all the time and say things like "oh look at the sparse interior, my car seats are more comfortable, real men drive stick" lulz. If you can afford the running costs, enjoy it. It has it's own understated dominant look but not the flashy oomph of a scuderia or lambo.

A GTR ain't gonna one up shit for you bro. There will ALWAYS be something better. Is it even categorized as a hypercar? The stuff that'll own its little ass off the back of my head are Veyron, Koenigsegg, Lambo Superveloce, McLaren SLR 722, MacLaren F1, Porche GT2, Ascari A10, heck I'd even count the R8 V10 as well since it's just so damn sexy.
Seriously, you should test drive multiple cars in your price bracket and see which one you'll love most. Take the time to test and get a good feel and you will know what is just the right kind of car for you. This whole 1up-ing thing will always happen. |

I think the most important thing to ask is:
1.How can a policeman start such an immature thread? 2.How the hell could he afford an $80,000 Nissan? P.S: While we are at it, i bet you want to extend your 1up and put a GT-R V-Spec badge on the Nissan? Sure, that'll only be $1500 (for only a miserable badge!).

My only advice would be to test drive a C2S, GT3, and R8 first :-)

If you want to one up you can do as I did, get a 996 turbo and do a full build out on it for the same price if not a bit cheaper then a GTR and have about 750awhp/860lbft. More then enough power for the streets and very stable at high speeds. I personally tested mine to 215 mph my nerves gave out well before the car.

Are you serious?
Do you really think an M3, supercharged or not, could accelerate that hard to 205mph? Assuming it could even get to 205mph, which it can't, it would take so much longer than that. I'll bet you $10 that the car was on a dyno in that video. Radar or GPS verified proof of this miracle M3 reaching 205mph on a track or ban.

I didn't watch the video, but there are links out there of modded 335s hitting 185mph, GPS verified. I would say with the additional HP of the s/c and the improved aerodynamics of the m3, it may be possible?
the gt-r is great. my only qualm with every owning one is the insurance the maintenance. and the fact it's financially unsound for me to own a car that is more than my annual salary. |

GT-R is nice but I will never own one even if I had the money until they put the proper 6speed manual back into it.
