Since when does MB make a CLS65? Unless you mean the CL65 which is one hot car (V12 biturbo) but costs way more over the low 100Ks...

I like the looks of the new Jag. The rear tail lights look like an AM. What I don't like is the chrome (as somebody else also mentioned.) I'm hoping you can get a shadowline trim, right?

I'm guessing reliability has improved dramatically from the old days. I'm sure that TATA really wants this to work and has put a big effort into build quality. We'll know in a few years.

Congrats on the new ride

Damn, that's a siiiiiick car and a very rare car. I live in Vancouver where you see almost every possible luxury car but to date I've seen one XF around town. Funny thing is the same one I seen has been on craiglist for a lease takeover for ages now.

Oh, like BMW hasn't been at the bottom of the reliability pile for years now? My own 740iL is considered a car to stay away from by most consumer magazines, as well as the previous 7 series, the 8 series, and many, many others. BMW owners have ZERO leg to stand on to call other new cars poor quality and unreliable. Sorry.

Actually, both those cars were quite decent, and so VASTLY improved over pre-Ford Jaguars. I've spent quite a bit of time with Jags, both classic and modern and can tell you, the Ford stuff is so much better it's not even funny, as far as quality and reliability goes. Maybe not as much passion as classic Jags, but definitely better put together. Without Ford, there would BE no Jaguar today. Or Range Rover. Or Aston Martin.

OP, congrats on a great car, and hopefully you will enjoy it for a few years.

WOW! Congrats!! Your new ride looks fantastic! Did you end up finding someone to take over your lease for your 335i or did you just end up giving it back. You were giving a pretty wicked deal for your 335.

i know what you mean about "turns heads", my neighbor got one of these and I can't help but to glance at it every time i walk by, definitely a rare car that catches people's attention, i wish BMWs were not so inconspicuous

how are the reviews of these cars? i know that jags did not have the greatest reputation in the past

I get more looks and comments in 2 weeks in my XF SC than I did in 2 years of driving a M5 and E55 put together! That said I'm replacing it next month with an X5M.
Got tired of a horrible Nav system, and low profile tires that that popped regularly when meeting potholes. In a year and a half I have spent about $3500 on new tires and Wheel repairs.

What? I can get my car worked on the same day if not the next day. I think you should be blaming your crappy dealer and not BMW.

Congrats on the car Blacklemon, looks the business.

I completely agree on everything you said, I commented exactly the same after I tested both car a while back. In fact that test all but convinced me that I should consider it when I was finished with the M3 but I got the XF3.0dS instead.

I didn't notice whether you got the Bowers and Wilkins stereo upgrade? My Portfolio came with this and I can honestly say it is without a doubt the best factory fitted system I have even heard and that includes all the Lexus models and the B&O system in the A8.

P.S.
Word of warning, the XF is a pig in the snow, even light snow so winter tyres are a must.
