Bullshit. My Curve was shot after 11 months. I started noticing both hard and software problems (laggy track ball, slower screen loading, keyboard "freezes") after 6 months. And I was very easy on that phone, only dropped it once on a hard surface, perhaps a couple on carpet.

My GF's Curve is almost a year and a half old and it's borderline useless. She doesn't care bc she doesn't use her phone very often, but whenever it's closest for me to like set an alarm for a nap or something it's infuriating to use. I usually just get up and get my out of reach 3GS.

/blackberry rant. Maybe their later releases are better, but I couldn't believe what a piece my Curve was.

Oh that was the other thing - near the end of my Curve experience I was pulling my battery nearly every day cuz of entire freezes or not getting any service for extended periods of time. I kept my software as updated as it would let me.

It's a Motorola phone, using the same operating software as the Moto Droid (which works perfectly fine with our cars) so it should be good to go.

After being released for only 24 hours, the Droid X is on a nation wide back order. If you order it today, it will ship July 23rd. As a Verizon employee, I advise anyone that wants one to order it ASAP of you want it in a decent amount of time. I was just informed of this about 20 min ago.

I ordered mine yesterday at noon, but it won't be delivered until July 24, at the earliest. Dang - I knew it was going to be a sought after phone, but after Verizon came out the day before launch and assured there would be plenty, I guess I just assumed there would be...

Yesterday, we had 20k phones in the warehouse. At 2 PM we were down to 14k phones left. Every 90 seconds, our inventory would drop about 100-115 phones. I was going to purchase one yesterday on my lunch break but we were sold out before noon.

I got the droid x. The verizon i went to got 45 in. All i have to say is this phone is the shit. If your okay with the size which not everyone will be then its just as good as the iphone. I actually like the interface more than the iphones. And it has a lot of nice improvements over the regular droid

thats a custom built, because CA and Nav have never been standard, and 90% of 325's came pre wired with BT, but didnt have the TCU installed for it to be able to work..

Played with it today at the Verizon store and wasn't impressed by it. I don't like how the buttons on the bottom aren't touch screen it made it look cheap, to me its just a bigger version of the HTC incredible. I think Verizon is going to shoot themselves in the foot by releasing a new droid phone every 3 months no one is going to buy them and keep waiting for the next one. And no one can say I'm a Iphone fanboy because i own a Droid myself.

I wish i could get this phone, i have the droid and my friends X is so sleek. Though everyone complained about the size the phone is super thin and youtube hd videos look great, so who cares if its not retina display. i'm going to laugh when the dell streak his US with 5inch screen, holding to your ear to make a call WILL look funny, lol

he is probably talking about the fact that android 3.0 OS will be released in a couple months and the phones minimum requirements will be: 1ghz processor, 512 mg RAM, etc... so the phones will be bad ass
