Can't remember the brand on the garage door but I would recommend against it (I'll find out tomorrow)...very easy to type the code wrong with gloves on and it makes you wait 30sec to try again...frustrating. It's like 10 years old though so I would be surprised if the technology hadn't improved since then

it hasn't. it's a safety feature so people justndont keep entering codes aimlessly. after several failed attempts it locks you out for awhile.

take your gloves off so ur sausage glove fingers don't hit the wrong buttons

Well if it let me try twice it would be fine...I get that it's a safety feature but it's still annoying. Bigger buttons would be adequate.

Mechanical lock might be a good option, I'm definitely looking into this. Thanks BTM!

set up a surveillance cam in the garage and change the lock on the door...problem solved..

nobody can key your car if they can't get to it...even if they do you will catch them on tape

These are pretty easy to use.

You could keep it in the car or set it somewhere covert to see who's not locking the door. I think you could even leave it outside somewhere if you need to view it from that angle.

Tag I thought you knew who was leaving it open...catching them on camera won't do anything (in that regard). There was a camera surveillance system at costco my dad bought a while ago but never installed. Seems legit though

It's one of two neighbors that much I know. Would be nice to know specifically which ahole it was. Makes it a lot easier to focus and rage on them. I really want a camera that has night vision, motion sensor and wireless. That way it can start recording when someone enters my garage area. Logitech makes a sweet one that does everything but wireless. Everything else I see either sucks or cost too much.

the costco has wireless...pretty sure nightvision. The cool thing is you can set it up to email or text you whenever the motion sensor is tripped, or say if it is tripped between 11pm and 6am, or whatever. Of course he hasn't tried his out, so who knows how good it is IRL.

I just purchased a camera from Amazon. Although it has its quirks it's suppose to do everything I want. I should get it around Wednesday; not bad at $90. Can't wait to see who this ahole is! If this cam works out it will be awesome because if anything happens to my car due to negligence or vandalism I should be able to capture proof of who did it.
