Wow I must have struck a nerve. My post was meant as a joke and not too be taken seriously. Hell, it wasn't even my own words - it was a quote. Being a big fan of Top Gear, and understanding that it is more an entertainment show than anything factual (waiting for someone else to get this reference!) I am in no way going to take car buying advise from three middle aged British dudes...their 300 million+ worldwide audience not withstanding.

Robert: I don't know where you got that logic from but it certainly wasn't me. Nowhere did I imply that everyone should save their money until they can afford a Veyron or that driving anything more than Scion is excessive. So take a deep breath, crack open a beer, or whatever you need to do in order to calm down and come back to reality.

KingOfJericho: There is an E90 M3 sitting in my garage right next to my M coupe. But I wasn't about to get into a pissing match with my brother (who owns the M3) over who was going to buy what car. My "other" daily driver is a moderately built TJ Wrangler; if you have ever owned a Jeep you'd know that it is pretty far from the comfort of a Mercury Sable. Get over yourself.

Another funny bit about that review - Clarkson says in it that finally, Porsche has created a Boxster that a man can drive. Chris Harris says the exact same thing about the 981. I suspect we'll hear it said about the next generation as well.

Struck no nerve anywhere, my nerve endings have been frayed over the years. I just found it amusing to extend that logic to point of absurdity. Of course it'll be silly of me to actually think that's what you meant.
