BMW forum owners don't like the a change?

That's a first! (NOT!)

I never cared for the old sound, not that it really matters. Do we not have better things to discuss?

Much prefer the old one!

New one sounds like some bad polyphonic ring tone from the late 1990s/early 2000s.

I like the old sound better.

Sometimes tradition is better than changing things up. Whats next a new BMW logo/emblem?

I'm a big fan of the new one actually. Many times with branding changes it takes time to appreciate the changes.

Reading some of the negative comments in this thread tells me people have not watched this clip (link below) at all. If they had then they would appreciate how much detail and research is behind the various components of the car including the safety aspects. Not only is quality number one the customers safety is right up there if not in front of the quality component of every BMW that leaves the assembly line.

One can really appreciate this if one has meet some of the designers and engineers and had a chance to actually make a factory tour.

A comment like the ones below are totally uncalled for.

"Wouldn't you think they have better things to do"

"omg, they pay people for this stuff??"

I prefer the solid sound of the old one, the new one is tinny, more suitable for an econobox...

they pay for everything - even down to the color of your center cluster lights and accent lights. in that sense they are a lot like apple - they obsessively research and test every detail. every detail you see, no matter how innocuous, down to the number of clicks your i drive knob makes, costs money.

Actually, we pay them.

Don't know. Maybe we get used to it?! First impression was, old one is better. Ask me again in 12 months
