You are right, at 16 you don't "deserve" the car or any nice rims for it... If your parents bought you the nice car, you are a spoiled brat and probably will not learn to appreciate the effort it takes to get ahead in our culture.
That being said, you've already learned the most important lesson, "Life is not fair". No 16yo deserves a great car, but also no person deserves to starve or get cancer. That sh*t happens without "deserving it". Life just happens differently to every person. Now go out and enjoy your great car and your blessed life. If you can get the rims, get them and appreciate all the good in your world. Some day life may not be as great for you and at least you've had this time to enjoy it. Save your guilt for masturbation.

i just dont get people. If bad things happen to them they complain "oh howcome nothing good ever happen to me?" or "i dont deserve this". Then when good things happen they think they dont deserve them. Usually you deserve the good things and dont deserve the bad, not both! Something is probably happening in his life that's caused him feeling down so he thinks he doesnt deserve it. ..

That three grand could have went toward tuition, an apartment for one year (split four ways with my roommates) or even toward my E90 now that I've graduated from college. |

And even if your parents are paying for college for you, save the money anyway...
Imagine the parties you could throw in college with $3000 worth of rum, gin, vodka, and beer! |

There may be such a correlation, (I would like to see a more specific explanation) but is there causation? Seems to me many of the personal characteristics that help one accumulate wealth also lead to success in school. Those students that have parents who are smart, hard workers, resourceful etc are more likely to have wealth, more likely to be smart, resourceful, etc and thus more likely to be successful at their studies.
Not to say that is always the case or that wealth does not help, just that I think your correlation may be misleading. Something about lies d*mn lies and statistics... |
