Tried this Caterwaul Cabernet just before I left for my work trip. Really stunning, deep dark red fruit with licorice and dark chocolate. Thankfully have a backup, but will need to find more when I get back home

That Casillero Del Diablo in the back right was the wine my wife and I had on our first date 20-something years ago. I think it's a pretty good wine, especially for the price.

Dry and fruity. Light tasting and non-bubbly. Surprisingly high in alcohol at 13.5%. Not bad for the price with a 20% special Christmas discount.

Drink this often in the summer, while in the pool. Ice cold. Perfect for that, and the price can't be beat.

I have gotten this from Costco before...its surprisingly good for the low price point. Very nice. You can reuse those glass stoppers too...they fit most other bottles if you don't finish it in one sitting.

Currently enjoying Austin Hope Cabernet from Paso Robles. But getting board and looking for recommendations for a great daily drink now Cabernet up to $50 and a weekend splurge up to $100. Thanks in advance.

My wife's a pretty big fan of Paso and is a member of several wine clubs there. Her recommendation is Halter Ranch (Ancestor is good), Justin Isosceles or any of the reds by Linne Calado.

Austin Hope is also in my rotation. Check this out. It’s from the Wagner family (Caymus). I always drink Cabernet but someone in the liquor store turned me on to this Merlot when I was looking for something new. If you didn’t tell me it was a Merlot, I’d think it was a Cabernet. It’s in the $45 range. For the splurge, Caymus is my go to.
