Anything but that. The two screws that stick out on the top are also fugly.

To quote a local, "I don't know anyone who wants a grip safety on internal hammer or striker fired pistols, didn't they realize that from the weak sales of the first EZ pistol? I don't know anyone who likes the trigger on the first EZ pistol, why bring it back after releasing the crowd pleasing flat face trigger on the Shield Plus?

The slide serrations are impractical, at least their previous line of M&P pistols had the cool slide serrations that looked like overlapping dragon scales...but this new iteration with U cuts is just a poor imitation of the Springfield Armory design. Thats probably where they hijacked the idea for this gun.

I've heard critics say the EZ pistol is meant for first time gun owners...so its great they made an EZ thats double stack and easier to grip, but then they remove the manual safety that most new gun owners want, and they make the gun so light it hurts to shoot at the range. Why?"

This shield looks fine, most S&W designs are just fine:

It really does look like they copied the SA:

It looks like a Kriss Vector to me. They are cool guns.

Wonder what it's chambered for - guessing 9mm, but maybe .45. Be expensive to run .45 though.

9mm, good eye! I prefer 9 since I've got quite a few guns that are 9 and it's just easier/cheaper to find ammo for.

Saw that the other day. I run one on my 8" 300BLK that I keep in a backpack. Might have to give it a try.

Sounds like a perfect candidate, a fun compact quiet boy. Save you a few secs from unfolding the stock and going straight to business.

Does anyone here use a Strikeman? I'm thinking of getting one, ammo is expensive and in short supply. Thoughts?

Came in just to ask same. My brother just recently showed me his "assault rifle" that he picked up. Judging by how well he wasn't able to eject his mag, I want to make sure he is safe and points it in the correct direction when the zombies come.

Mantis is the competitor, and their rapid fire adaptor for ARs seems like the right choice. The Strikeman seems to be geared much more towards pistols.

I second mantis.
We use it frequently on my job and it helped many less experienced personnel with the fundamentals, without spending costly live ammo. Also can be used for practice anywhere. The end result is progressively noticeable, especially when it's time to actually qualify on the ranges.
Anyone struggling with anticipation, trigger squeeze, breathing and or maintaining sight picture, should give one of these systems a try.
My humble opinion on why this is an effective training tool is that when I notice a trainee consistently struggling with any (or all) of the fundamentals, is that the anticipation of the round (live or blank) screws them up mentally because when they hear the pop and or witness their shot go wide or high, their confidence deteriorates faster than their eyes fatigue or arms start to shrink, lol
This system takes that stress out, so they can build on those basics, instilling more confidence when it's time to load a mag and go hot.

Since the Mantis mounts on the barrel, it offers that extra bit of info on how the barrel moves with the trigger pull, regardless of recoil, right?

The part that lets you fire 10 rounds at a time thru a rifle is about 170, that seems kinda high. But I guess that would only take about 50 shots to make financial sense, right?
