I confess that I used my steering wheel heater for the first time last night and was pleased with it.

I've never had this feature on any previous vehicle. This would be a must-have if I lived in the NE region for example.

A "must-have" is a figure of speech. I'm pretty sure that if you were to survey most people they would prefer to have heated seats and a heated steering wheel rather than wearing a thick coat and gloves. I'm sure as hell not going to wear gloves when I drive. BTW, you can indeed feel the heated seats even if wearing a heavy coat.

Lol. Well I'm not from Atlanta but I reside there. I'm originally from the Pacific NW so I know what it's like in the cold, but maybe not igloo conditions like North of the border.

You're right about varying results if surveyed. I am one of those who doesn't find a heated steering wheel nor heated seats to be a must-have. I never ever use either option. In fact, I disabled my heated steering wheel function in my last M4 when I installed the alcantara steering wheel. I also love driving gloves.

Duly noted. Well I don't live there NOW and it has been a very long time. As for weather, yes I give you that. The other stuff is definitely a more recent phenomenon, certainly compared to when I grew up and lived there up to early 90s.

You live in f’ing southern CA!!! I’m sorry, heated seats and steering wheel are must haves. I can’t drive with a coat on. I won’t drive with gloves on. I don’t heat my car before driving. Once the rpms drop after start, off I go. As a side note, WTF is up with auto starts. I was taught that it is bad for the engine to let it idle to warm up.

Come up north where we actually have winter and then we can discuss heated seats and steering wheel.
