Smoked brisket!
Bought a whole brisket yesterday and smoked the point today. Two more cuts in the freezer for next time(s). Smoked for 8ish hours on 225F in a Pit Boss vertical pellet smoker. Apple pellets. Dry rub with kosher salt, cumin, oregano, black pepper and brown sugar. Wrapped with foil when internal temp reached 170F. Nice smoke ring and smoke flavor. Actually, we stopped at Sheetz in Virginia once for fuel/lunch on a road trip. The cheesesteak sub that I had was pretty good, and I would go back again when we're in that area.....

A couple from over the weekend. First is lamb shoulder chop, broad beans in tomato/garlic/basil sauce, and pesto (homemade) cream farfalle. Second is Portillo's Italian beef (it's under that generous helping of peppers) and a simple green salad. Gotta love mail-order food!

We are going downtown to a place called The Joinery for a 4-course beer dinner. We went to their first one back in August and it was stellar. This is their second one. No menu upfront this time, but I'm sure it's going to be awesome. I'll try to grab some pics of food/menu.
