so i got a totally OT tangent question about CT. So if i want to take the ferry boat from long island (near stony brook uni) out to CT... what kinda neat family stuff is there to do?

I'm new to LI and have driven thru CT on my way to MA... but is there anything particularly neat to see/do in that area before winter hits?
