I miss it there. But being on the other side of the country and 3,000 miles away from family was tough. I don’t know how meteorologists have any kind of job stability. All they have to say is, sunny today, sunny tomorrow, sunny the next day.

Houston is the only place I know where cars sweat. Get up in the morning and your car is wet and dripping onto the road. Everything else is dry.

grass is soaking wet, bushes by the house are wet and windows at every single business are foggy/sweaty because of how cold it is inside versus how shitty it is outside.... it's gorgeous outside right now, but I'm sure in about 3 hours a massive thunderstorm is randomly gonna pop up somewhere.... |

my signature makes people laugh there asses off.....
put the pen to paper and start making a bunch of circular motions - then randomly cross a "T" in my last name that you can't even see... never pick up the pen from the paper during this display of awesomeness...... |

As long as you don't forget the tittle in "Litos" when you write it out then, in my book, you're ok lol

My signature looks like shit too; I'm envious of people with neat signatures.

Same here. Thank god I don't need to use traveler's checks any more. I could never get the signatures to match.

When I created my signature, it was intentionally complicated to reduce forgeries, but people say it looks like a doctor's... But to change it to a slicker signature would mean changing a ton of legal documents.

This morning said 60% chance of rain for an hour. Which is my hour ride to work. Decided I'd say fuck it, today, we ride. While it didn't rain, I hit some heavy fog for about 45 minutes.
First world problem? My helmet needs a windshield wiper for fog buildup. |

I test drove a car for a $50 gift card yesterday.
Lately, dealers seem to ask if you want the $50 or you want to drive a car, to avoid the test drive if you're not in the market. We take this 64k car out, it has cooled seats w/ 355 HP, etc. I get my code, the salesman tells me, "Give me a call if you have any trouble with the Visa gift card." Get home to enter it online and it's invalid! Totally a first world problem, but I eventually got the code and a confirmation email. Having to call them back on the phone, was 4 min. of my life I'll never get back! |

We're in NashVegas for a conference this week. It's in a fairly new hotel (Omni) and the room is pretty sweet. Nice and big with floor to ceiling windows. Sadly, the view from the 18th floor is out onto parking lots and low rise industrial buildings. Not sure the other side of the hotel would be much better from what I saw driving in.
At least the school is picking up the tab.

And the friggin' horn-blowing train just out of the image to the right. Every hour all night long. Just goes to show, if you build a nice hotel in a crap neighborhood it will still be a lousy place to stay.
