380 and up is acceptable for personal defense.
380 hollow tips are the minimum for a good pd round
9mm is a little better than 380. More ammo than the larger ones. Two shots are prudent.
40 even better. More power and knockdown but a bit snappy. Good for stronger physically shooters so follow up not an issue
45 great round but big for small guns. Hard to control in sub compacts.

I carry one of three guns. 380 lcp 7 round more than other 2 combined because its so small and convenient.
40 sig p229 13 round next because of added power and staggered clip.
45 colt 8 round sometimes but in a full size 1911. Typically only with a jacket which isn't often in Florida.

Always hollow tip.

Modern 9mm is good enough, has more rounds, and easier follow up. For smaller or inexperienced i would recommend this. 40 or 45 for bigger experienced shooters is the way to go.

i like the extra power a 40 offers over a 9... when i shoot my 9 at the range vs my 40, its like i am holding a baby's gun

I'm a big fan of the Glock 22 in S&W .40. 16 rounds, point and shoot, short trigger reset for getting away multiple rounds.....and I carried one for the last almost 20 years of my career.....like an old friend. Those things are practically bullet proof.

I prefer 10mm for carry. Sometimes I'll carry a G27, sometimes one of my Sigs during big coat season. I've also got a Makarov which makes a great carry gun, soooo comfortable. I forget it's there.

But.....I'm all about the shotgun for HD.

It came with the rail on the top as well that I removed. The gun is marketed as home defense so I guess they think you'll put a light or laser there

Is that supposed to demonstrate that a near complete ban on LEGAL ownership of firearms actually changed their crime rates?

Lol, he's hilarious. JJ makes more sense than anything I've heard you say. But of course anyone who disagrees with you is dumb and ignorant. Always so angry you are. You're the 10% he's talking about at the end btw

Personally I think he perfectly sums up the gun nuts in this country. You should listen to his position on abortion....you'd love it.

Right because the entire justification for the aussie confiscation was predicated on crime.....which essentially remains unchanged......

Chicago has the most onerous gun control in the US but it has more murders than most any city in the country

Same with DC and a number of others

But RKBA isnt and never was about self defense per se.....it was about defense/resistance against an all powerful central government (King of England)

But by all means, dont let facts get in the way of your perfectly executed feelings based response

no thats called comedy?

I’m sure there is no correlation between firearms availability and gun related deaths?
