Well, i'm not doing the "Tax Shit" per say. I'm going through AR, AP, Customer deposits, Prepaid inventory, inventory, bad debt, etc... Our OS is industry specific and it's a bitch to fix anything. A task takes 3 steps to do. Do it wrong and it takes 6 steps to correct.

Do all of it AFTER your Sr. Manager level CPA accountant has done all the staff level reconciliation work and...... lets just say i'm not expecting to have a wonderful weekend.

@Biorin if I'm doing a software implementation, what can I capitalize vs. expense? Does it matter if the software is SaaS vs. OnPremise? If I have right to convert to an OnPremise owned asset at the end of the service period, can I then capitalize the SaaS cost?

Software capex/expense can be tricky.

You might also want to provide:

1. Your company's capex $ threshold
2. The right to convert to asset - any conditions?
3. What is the software's intended use?
