We watched Gemini Man last night. It was okay in my opinion, but nothing about it excited me as it was one pace the entire movie.

Wife wants to watch Malfeficent tonight, so I guess that's what we will be watching.

Saw 1917 this afternoon. Technically, a real achievement. And themovie itself was excellent, the lead, Will, was outstanding.

Not as good as saving Private Ryan, but the same kind of movie.

If and when you see this movie, see if you could find where the cuts are.

Is this one you *need* to see in the theatre to truly appreciate, or wait for Blu Ray?

I'd certainly go for the theater!

Watched “Joker” last night. Not bad, but certainly wouldn’t lavish the film with praise either.

WTF, over?

Both of us pretty much agreed-- it sucked-- choppy scene cuts, a lot of "Why did they do that" cuts (Sharon Tate and her dirty feet in the movie theater come to mind), pretty much no plot, a fair bit of scene chewing.

Honestly? The best thing was looking at all of the old classic cars that the sets were dressed with.

It's really just a pandering love note from Hollywood to Hollywood.

We were *really* disappointed.
Started watching it last night, we got to the Bruce Lee scene and my wife fell asleep.....not sure it had her hooked. I thought your comments were fair, not sure if we will try to finish it up or not.

Watch it. Bruce lee scene was hilarious as was the end. Tarantino has a four fetish I believe.

The wife and I watched "The Hundred Foot Journey" tonight.

Very sweet. And if your significant otter is a "foodie"?

She'll love it.

So finished it last night, my wife fell asleep again and I realized it was never going to hold her attention so I finished it up on my own....when I saw how the end was shaping up I woke her up for it.

I'll agree the Bruce Lee scene was funny and the end was classic Trantino, but IMHO this movie just didn't stand up to anything else he has done. I was really disappointed frankly.

We saw 1917 on Sunday. I was hyped to see it, and apprehensive at the same time. Great bit of film, but the story wasn't what I expected to cover, and Will was a bit too much superman, after that first incident with the wire fence.

There was one cut I saw, when the rat tripped the wire. . .

Honestly, didn’t even know this film existed before all the reviews and Oscar nominations. So, while I did not watch it yet, have it preordered for when it is released on Blu-ray.

Based on the old farts thread this was your second time seeing 1917 in person.

saw parasite a fews months ago...first I can't even recall that the movie was subtitled - I just thought it was mediocre - I thought the Japanese movie SHOPLIFTERS was better.

Though I will say the fact the movie is South Korean, the women are beautiful makes for a very visual movie.
