Locked in 3% 30 year fixed on my jumbo back in June. I could have gotten a lower rate for more points, but we aren't planning on staying for the full 30 so it didn't make sense to amortize the fees. Ironically we refinanced in 2019 thinking we scored with a good rate not knowing it would go down even more in 2020.

Same here. 3% on 30 year fixed jumbo, closed in October. I thought I did good on last house 3 years ago with 3.375 but I paid points for that rate. None on current.

Close to the same for me, 2.75% on a 15 year, about 7 years ago.

Me, three! Been paying it off at an accelerated rate, and will have it paid off in 2024 if our employment situations don't change. Haven't considered a re-fi, since our monthly interest is under $100 at this point in the loan's life.....

guess would be short term they hold, as we come out of Covid, employment #'s increase, it'll creep back up. I suspect they'll stay good for 6 months or so. We are about as low as they'll go right now IMO, within 1/8 point or so.

Real estate prices are jumping, at least in this area, esp. outside of cities, have been trending that way all here. (consulting with property mgmt company all year, movement slow, low inventory, high prices)

i hope market falls apart next year. I have retards nearby me paying close to 600k for new construction with no pool, 4/3, 2200 sq ft, no security etc. Gotta love it.

Lol that's dirt cheap compared to here. That's $800-900k easy.

That seems like awfully low closing costs. Is this typical for most?

We’re planning on moving in a few years, so I hadn’t really considered a refi with the closing costs. If we can drop to <2.5% without points and that low of closing costs this might make sense...

I think the credit unions around me are usually in the $1500-1800 range but since I had refinanced recently I did not need another appraisal which helped lower the costs.

Can you say or message me the credit union name you used? Seems like you got the best rates so far in this thread.

Depends on the state, no way closing costs are that low in FL, so many BS fees, title insurance, transfer taxes, etc.
