It's nice to see the full add now & I think it's pretty well done. I like that color gray too. Wonder what shade of gray it is... ?

BMW is morphing from performance oriented to being a transportation company, no way I'm paying 6 figures for that car/van.

Nah, BMW doesn't know what they're doing and their EV's are going to fail...

On the international automobile markets, the new all-electric models from BMW i were particularly successful in the past year, both in public surveys and in the assessment of expert juries. In Great Britain, the magazine "GQ" named the BMW iX the "Electric Vehicle of the Year" 2021. The automotive experts of the magazine "Top Gear" chose the all-electric Gran Coupé BMW i4 for the "Saloon of the Year" 2021.

And the success story continues in 2022. In Norway, the country with the world's highest market share for all-electric vehicles, the BMW i4 was voted "Car of the Year" 2022. In the opinion of the jury, which consisted of journalists and other experts, the BMW i4 ideally represents the brand's vision for the future of electric mobility, but also of digitalisation and connectivity, without compromising on driving pleasure and equipment. "This is the new DNA of BMW, and it’s really convincing," the jury concluded.

Does anything you mention have anything to do with real world sales? GQ named it the electric car of the year? Cool story because that's all it is. It's all part of the marketing budget, bribery, popularity contest, GQ owes some big wig a favor or whatever, so they pump out an article and slap on some words that contain an arbitrary award. As long as one person says your coffee shop has the best coffee in the world, you can market your shop as such. These are all just stories with no data behind them. Unless they polled the country, extrapolated all the data past, present and future then it means nothing. Don't believe everything you hear or read.

Wow. Conspiracy theorist. So, you know that this all went down with bribery, and palms greased? Good to know. Do you realize we actually landed a man on the moon or was that just done in a Hollywood studio?

You do realize how the world works? Nothing to do with conspiracies, right, left, bla bla bla, it's reality. What is the motivation for them to write the article? Especially when the article is based on nothing, no facts, no data. Not saying that everything you see and hear are based on lies but my guess is that a majority of the information you receive has some sort of connotation or back story.

It happens with your friends and coworkers, we negotiate with our children in the form of bribes, eat the broccoli and I'll give you a piece of cake. So why wouldn't you believe that this behavior happens on a higher level? Cause you haven't been to that level? I've been in those dinner sales meetings, weekend trips, golf outings, strip clubs and I can tell you they are all the same. Very fun and informative and not always unethical but the stuff that happens under the table is the stuff that makes the world go round.

Thanks for the life lessons son. I'm sure I'm older than you and currently work for the largest tech in the world. I was selling in the dot com era. You don't have to explain these things.

So, how do you explain the 98% positive reviews on the i4? Are these reviewers paid as well? Also, you don't state what kind of cars you drive. Wouldn't be surprised that you're a butt hurt Tesla cultist.

Lol, you already knew what I explained to you? Then what's the problem grandpa? I tell you the world is different and you disagree, then I explain and you tell me you already knew this.

If you did any kind of sales then we wouldn't be having this conversation.

As far as the reviewers getting paid, we'll you know there probably not getting cash in hand but to some, the ones that matter, they are with 100% certainty receiving some sort of preferential treatment in an unwritten exchange for a positive review.

You're blind if you can't or in you're positions haven't seen this type of behavior. Or maybe at you're age you're just cranky and missed your afternoon nap.

Also, tell me how a car can win the 2022 car of the year when it's only been 2022 for a month and a half? That's some long term projections that are clearly not based on real world, real owners opinions.

Interesting discussion going on here. I think both points are valid statements.

BMW has started a (new) push into EV and the press (across several examples) has liked it. Given 22 models, BMW is showing that they know what they are doing with EVs. Press reactions and polls are the only thing that you can go by at this early stage and BMW is showing that they are in a good place.

On the flip side, sales are what will be the ultimate proof of whether or not BMW actually knows what they are doing. Time will till here and is not something that we can quantify yet.

So, BMW EV is where they want to be today, which is not a fail, but also does not prove future sales.

Funny. Interesting choice to make the kid at the counter be taller than him, which makes him less imposing.

Ya but his stated height was 6'2". Fans who have met him always commented that he was a lot shorter. It has become a bit of a meme in Arnold land.
