Looks like CX-70 side profile. Doors look tall or bottom flares out too low, something about side that makes it look flabby, needs more definition.
Rear corners are nice, front is nice, rear is very mild, i hope m50 looks a bit more aggressive. Will they ever hide the rear wiper? Where is rear bumper. Also show us what it looks like on 19s or 20s..not these massive 22s. I don't really mind change people claim everyone always hates change. I never hated G01 or F15 when they came out, those were excellent changes.. ID8, now that's a change I hate. Not the whole full touch movement but the placement of dash without a hood over it just not my cup of tea....

I think I like it waiting to see it in person. Just from the pics, they could have effed it up a lot more. Oh and these DRLs are definitely preferable over the new gen/lci IMHO.

I don’t think it looks bad, better than the current version for sure.
Anyone know if towing capacity has increased with this new version? Specifically thinking about the M50 with towing package.

I like the front a lot! It looks very aggressive but the back isn’t my favorite. Saying this I’m sure it will grow on me.
I’m assuming they come with laser lights?? Is that a standard thing now, or is it too early to know? |

Polarizing, but if people can get used to that horrendous M3/4 front end, then this too shall pass.
I don’t mind it, excited to drive one at some point.

They really went out and ruined the X3 with this new design language. Sigh. The X2 and i5 look just as bad.

this is a render and not real car, i dont understand the critique of it as if its BMWs design. The real one probably isnt exactly this, and the exact is the key word for commenting design of the thing. Ill wait for official reveal. This is an X1 with 5er front to me.

Jen’s take:
1- BMW has lost their way in the looks department with this G45  2- The front grill is horrendous looking 3- The weird overly dramatic wheel arches are horribleo 3- The front headlights are way over designed and not BMW like in the least 4- The squared off hood edge is hideous 5- The rear end is just bizarre looking and not sporty (even with quad exhaust) Prediction- This new G45 will struggle to help BMW retain G01 M40i owners/loyalists like me. Fortunately the X5 still looks great. Sadly, I think this rendering is going to end up being virtually identical to the final reveal. My M40i looks better now to me than ever…
