Everytime I valet my car, just give a good tip in advance and they will take care of you. I'd rather spend 20$ and not have any worries. Once I get my new car in manual, I would deffinetly give them 30$ and just ask to park it myself. Just tell them please watch over it.

that's what i do but only to body shops or when i get my car serviced or worked on. NEVER get valet if you see kids working there.
