So in short you are missing friendship, companionship, which would complete your happiness circle. Two words: Love Life. How you ask ? STEP OUT OF YOUR DAILY ROUTINE ! make the effort to do what you dont usually do right now, go help the needy, go help those unfortunate (and God knows there are a lot of people in hardship), give your free time to others, be an inspiration to them, give them hope, cheer people up, there is no reasons (as you have point it out to yourself already) for you to be depressed, you have everything that other people dont have... Love, Friendship, and Happiness WILL come to you once you have given enough back to your community (i am not talking about money, i am referring to giving your honest time, your honest effort, your feelings and knowledge from your head and heart...) Learn about buddhism, learn about christianity, learn about other religious faith... ... or join a star-gazing group Dont do anything expecting for love or friendship .... that's selfish...(even tho that's what you want, i know it's contradicting) but save yourself the trouble, expectations will set you back into depression... you dont want to waste your time being how you currently are again... if what you have been doing is wrong or is making you not happy: Change ! Change for the better bud ! You will be fine ![]()

You need to get happy with yourself, the rest will follow naturally.
If you're not happy with yourself, you don't come off as attractive to others. Join some groups, get new hobbies, do things that make YOU happy. Once you're happy, people will be attracted to you and things will happen for you. You might look into anti-depressents, or maybe some counciling if you're seriously depressed. |

Buddy, you are still young, enjoy what you have because you worked hard for them. Other people might look happy to you, they are married, having kids, but they probably wish they are living your life.. I was in your situation at your age, but now I think those were nonsense feelings. You rather go out and help those who are less fortunate than youself, it would make you happy, maybe you'd make more friends that way..

Depression is something nobody should have. I know what you mean by feeling lonely, and FUCK that, it's the worst.

Hope you feel better...it's worse in the winter...maybe it's the lack of sun or something...but well it sucks. For me, it's the gym. three times per week on the treadmill for 45min each shot...won't cure it but it will help. and if you get lucky the girl in front of you won't have a tank ass...so the view will be good. Do any of you listen to the radio lab pod casts?
There was a very interesting one last week about lying. And they discussed that those who are depressed or feeling down tend to be very honest and very aware of their surroundings. While those who were happy go lucky tended to "lie" more. Puts a new view on the glass is half empty vs half full. Maybe it's an issue of perspective? Maybe and this will sound silly and i feel bad for saying it....lie to yourself a little? Maybe wake up and say...it's going to be a good day? I hope this helps. And I hope you feel better soon. |

Any skills at coaching? Nothing better than seeing a kid's face light up when you teach him/her a skill they never thought they could master. Then they teach you back that if a kid can do it, you can reach beyond your self-limiting view and do something you never thought you could.
