Tintern Abbey on the morning we left for London. I've been told this place is stunning during foliage season when the mist is burning off the land. I can only imagine.

I used Photoshop's HDR Pro on each series of frames and then stitched them using Photoshop's pano feature. No tripod and it was raining lightly on me at the time. I'm actually lucky the 6D didn't suffer any damage.

Thanks, Ed. What do you use for B&W conversion? Some of my shots are begging for B&W, but I can't seem to find a good balance in Photoshop.

Silver Efex Pro. Works as a plugin to either photoshop or Lightroom. Now a free download from Google.

JMG, great light and perspective under the pier.

Alan, I love the harvest moon over the water and coast.

Looks comfy.

That fawn that I posted was bedded 50-feet from a camping family, with a dog. The dog barked at me and the fawn's ears responded, but it quickly gauged it as a non-threat. The grass was so tall and thick this summer that I find major grass compression showing where large groups of deer napped very close to people paths.

Interesting. The deer where I usually shoot at Pt. Reyes are totally unfazed by people, probably because of the park status. They just graze away as cars go by just feet away from them.

This came out better than I thought it would. It has been a very warm weekend here, and I figured there would be too much atmospheric disturbance to get a decent shot. 700mm handheld.
