Set an alarm for every 2-3 hours overnight and check/dose insulin. Probably not going to happen, sleep >> blood sugar levels

beast!!!!!!! once my right knee fully heal up, then i can finally Squat/DL.

quick note
i have noticed i am still lossing weight even with the extra 3-400 calories i added. is it because my metabolism is back up and i am not eating enough to maintain? i dont mind it at all since i am having chipotle almost every night.

Definitely! Your metabolism has increased. It's a good thing for sure.

i did chest today and my incline bbell press # went up but my incline dbell press didnt. should i keep doing both in the same workout or just stick with one.

my current chest routine
incline bbell press
incline dbell press
hammer strength press
high cable cross
mid cable cross
then 2-3 tricep exercise

I'm personally a fan of barbell work, but it's all preference. Getting good at one doesn't necessarily improve the other.

The last set I did last night was DL, although I only got up to 185lbs. But I did WAY more reps than 3

I bet I feel it more (negatively) today as well. It's been a long time since I finished a back day with DL.

I snagged my son's swim trunks, went and bought some non-comp goggles and a chamois, then did a session in the pool Friday night. Felt good to be in the water, but swimming is tough!
When I got home I asked my son how long his practices used to be:1.5 hours. I barely made it 25 minutes before I kept swallowing water because I couldn't do 4 strokes before needing a breath. Saturday, again, it was the abs the hurt the most.
Thinking I'm going to try to include 15 minutes every other time I go, after my normal hour

I read some of those threads below this about plateaus and meso cycles, and realize I have a lot of knowledge to gain before I make any more muscle gains. . .

It definitely takes time to learn it all. Keep reading and experimenting with your body.

Man, pushing 50 I ain't got much time left for experimenting. And that's what the MDs are doing by my voluntary ingestion of their new medicines (medical trial whore)

This has been a sad week for the gym, I haven't made it in yet ;( Things don't look much better tonight with another meeting I have to attend during my typical workout period. I have tomorrow off from work and want to swim, but that may be sketchy as well with some other things the wife has "arranged" for me to do.

So this week I have let the muscle supplements go as well, I guess it is a bit of a breather for the whole system. I've been very tired, but mainly from not sleeping at night well. Probably because I haven't been to the gym.

Keep your head up man. Listen to your body first. This game [working out] is a marathon rather than a sprint. We got'cha back!!!!
