But 96% of gasoline is transported in bulk from refinery to transfer depot by pipeline/rail/barge. 4% is over-the-road tanker. Last-mile of course is by truck tanker, but on a miles-per basis, it's a low target of opportunity.

Watching Landman, pretty good series. This scene is from episode 3 and regardless of your views it kind of sums up the dilemma with the whole Net Zero thing. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/6diPVcHE_d4

The Tes lost out even with 4WD due to it's heavier more slippery EV tires.

I'm one,...of many...BMW owners that's actually looking for the 'corner',...and 'switch-back curves'! My entry point into the BMW world was a '79 320i (...a 4-Spd 2.0L version),...and I later graduated to 533i,...535is, etc. Those vehicles really made me appreciate Curves and On-Ramps like no other!

Based on how many BMWs are SUVs these days...I'd say you are one of the few.

It wasn’t in the fastest mode. Oddly, “insane” mode accelerates faster (maybe a few tenths) than “track” mode. Track gives you a steady/consistent amount of power, whereas insane gives you all of it, which diminishes as the battery is depleted. The tires are just pirelli p zero 4 tires (at least on mine). Nothing really special about them.

Either way, CS is a better sports car, but I’d expect that out of a car that is more than twice as expensive.

I'd guess 10 years from now you'd look at the m3 and go ..what a car.
You'd look at the 10 year old tesla and ..well you wouldn't as it wouldn't catch your eye would it?

You're right about that. I can look back right now at BMWs circa 2014 and all that comes to mind is meh. To be fair I would think the same about any 2014 Tesla and frankly any sedan.

A cybertruck would 10000% catch your eye... maybe not for it's beauty... but catch your eye it will.

I agree that the M3 is the better car, it would not have made any difference if the Tesla was in fast mode as the newer Tes would slide even more with it's special EV tires. Putting normal tyres on it for more grip could invalidate it's car insurance.

You keep referring to its special tires? It’s just pirelli PZ4s. I already had to replace one due to a nail. Same that comes with a Porsche cayman gts and the likes. Basically a PS4S competitor.

Edit: I got confused on the videos. My bad. I was thinking this was a drag race video from a few months back. Didn’t realize they had a track video which I just watched. My comments on the insane mode only apply to the drag race video. Didn’t realize they had 2 vids on the same cars!
