I must admit I missed this car. Never would have recognized that and I had absolutely no idea a Thunderbird ever came with suicide doors!!

At first I thought I'd share this photo on the LOL photo thread, but then I realized that the humor would be lost on the younger crowd. So, I've chosen this fine thread of older, wiser, and just plain better participants.

You know you’re old if…

You had a pen pal sometime during grade school. You’re also old if you
licked the postage stamp.

Wifey and I were chatting today about being a quarter of the way through this century. I clearly remember the whole Y2K scare like it was yesterday, yet most recent college grads have barely heard of it.

Most college grads this year weren't even alive to "never forget" 9/11.....

My son was born on 9/11. He's 37 now. One year, a few years ago, he went to New York to visit "Ground Zero" for his birthday. He went by himself. Said it was something he'll never forget.

I still vividly remember seeing the second plane to strike the WTC flying down the Hudson River at low altitude as I was loading up my race car for the drive to the SCCA National Championship in Kansas, and the whole thing is just a chapter in the history books for this year's college grads.....

I was working in home's our lower level, which we had ripped apart to install ductwork; my wife came down the steps telling me that her daughter had called and told her to turn on the TV right away. We were utterly unaware of it otherwise. I was working in an internet NOC at the time, and we had clients in the WTC, so I dropped everything and headed to the office.

Yes, I saw it on the TV as well. I was horrified! Could hardly believe what I was seeing!

My daughter called and asked me if I had the TV on. I didn’t, so she filled me
in, including the fact she and my wife were stuck in Colorado. They were on
their airplane at DIA and had just pushed back. Their airplane returned to the
gate. Our son had dropped them off at the airport and somehow quickly
figured out what was happening, called them and told to run, not walk, to
the terminal exit. Lights were flashing and alarms were buzzing. The doors
closed and locked seconds after my wife and daughter got out of the building.

I ended up driving from California to pick them up. Two days out and two days
back. Overnighted in Cedar City out and back. Highways had few cars. It was
very eerie.

What are you using the water pik for that perhaps you shouldn't be? NM I don't want to know.

I was thinking of buying a water pik, but I was concerned about the mess it might make. I suppose using it in the shower is one way to mitigate that issue. But I don't need more back problems, so maybe I'll skip it.
