How often are you moving weight with those legs?

And machines. Changing up grip between sets usually too. I'm just getting old. . .

I adjusted to do less reps with more weight, but that was hurting joints too, so now I just do less weight with less reps, and spend more time sitting in the cajuzzi

I stretch my hams and groin in the cajuzzi, really good. I can almost sit up with my legs at 91.2657436 degrees if I hook one toe on the railing.

What's the take on crossfit around here? I know it's generally frowned upon due to the high "douche" quota of people who do it.

I'm a fairly consistent gym person, but I've felt the need to bump it up a notch, and I'm not the type who will seek out a personal trainer at the gym. I'm interested in some of the Spartan races and stuff just for fun, but I never really had the will to actually go out and do it.

I don't think its necessarily the douche factor but more the impact on joints and what not. Many people I know ended up with injuries and realized it was too high impact when you can get better results elsewhere. I wasn't one to seek out a personal trainer but I have for shorter intervals and it helped me step my game up.

That being said, Sedan_Clan when are you coming out to the Westside to train?

Hey, Sedan. Thanks again for e-pushing me back into doing squats. I really look forward to leg days now!
I moved back inside to do my workout (LOTS more sweating when room is 70 instead of 50) but I found this squat rack where the bar is on a rail and can only move up/down. I'm liking that I can concentrate on just my leg motion so I have slowed down, and gone up in weight a bit.

I always shed a tear whenever one of you fellas mentions the squat rack.

1 of pride
1 of joy
and 1 of the pain you always remember?

I'm still firmly believing that the dips in the "solar" heated pool outside (read about 48*) helps with recovery. Not sure what I'm going to do when the sun comes out again.

At the gym. It's heated when the sun shines directly on the surface. Almost every time I go now, I finish by doing 2 sets in the cold water, 2 minutes at a time. Between I jump in the cajuzzi to warm up again. It take s a few seconds to finally feel the warm water. I started last week to swim one lap after sitting for 2 minutes. May try to extend that to 2 laps soon.

Only met a few people who do crossfit:

- Fat, douchy friend who has since become a super-ultra-mega-douchy hipster.

- Fat, obscenely loud girl who used to work at my office. Always smelled like onions.

- Douchebag firefighter coke head.

I'm not suggesting that all who attend crossfit classes are terrible people, just those that I've encountered.

Hahahah. I know some "normal" people who do crossfit, but it does seem like there are several types of "crossfitters" that generally give others a bad name.

But like the previous poster said, if they are teaching improper form with negligence, fuck em...

Sedan_Clan, first of all, thanks for recommending the Smolov Jr for my bench last year. I ended up doing 2 runs and gained roughly 10lbs after each cycle.

Squat - 365
Bench - 250
Deadlift 455

Fairly confident I'll be able to hit 5 plates on deadlift and 4 plates on squat this year. With my bench being my weakest lift, I'm hoping to hit 275 this year.

Ever heard/tried this program?
https://www.muscleandstrength.com/wo...orkout-program
I'm currently running this to see if anything comes out of it. I did however tweak things, as i bench twice a week (Monday and Friday) and do pause reps instead of tap-n-go.
Also, what would you recommend for someone who's weak off the chest? I purchased a slingshot but it's mostly for building up the lockout strength.
