New kid in the freezer: fresh batch of lasagna!
Lasagna and salad, fresh mango for dessert. Lasagna with bechamel, spinach, mushrooms, onions, ricotta, ground beef and marinara. So good! Homemade bechamel is a game changer - lots of nutmeg! |

Welp, after consuming likely ~20 days of calories/carbs during ~5 days of Nov holiday foods + libations...dialing down portion size 'a lil bit'.

Dinner tonight was a roux with non-dairy butter and flour and a non-dairy cream sauce with vegetable stock, herbs de provence, and roasted garlic. In the cream sauce is pearl onions, variety of mushrooms, and roasted chicken.

Steak frites!
NY strip pan seared medium in evoo and butter with fresh rosemary. Sauteed onions and mushrooms in evoo, butter and fresh rosemary. So good! Reminds of the first time I had steak frites. It was in Cannes after a long and harrowing day of driving a rented Cinquecento through the Hautes-Alpes and Alpes-Maritimes, sometimes knowing where we were going!
