When my X3 M40i was brand new with the stock RFT's at the same speeds, it was in the low 70's db's. So you could say there was about 5-6 db difference between the two with/without the acoustic glass.
Since I put new wheels & DSW06+ tires on this spring, my readings are about 64-66 db's. So tire swap alone reduced it greatly. Now if it had the front acoustic glass, I'd presume it would lower it at least down to 60 decibels.
I can tell you that most new BMW SUVs are noisy. My neighbor has a one year old X7, and it is noisy even at low speed. I guess, BMW want it that way. It sounds sporty to them.

A little more background info.

The Acoustic Glass on the G01 and G05 are both option code 3KA. Apparently, the laminated windscreen glass is 0.5mm thick in the EU with this option, but I don't know if this is just on the G05 or standard with option 3KA. 3KA is standard fit across all G01/G02 models sold in the UK.

The M40i you decided to let go of remains one of the best SUV’s on the planet for under $100K.

Just curious how you rationalized the spend (if you don’t mind sharing).
Interested as well. Not being aggressive towards OP but am trying to understand what I'm missing as someone with virtually the same car right now.

I really thought I'd spend the back half of my lease drooling over the new M50 but I will instead cherish these next 18 months with my 23 M40i.

Will see what the M division is able to do to this thing (if they make a non PHEV one) but it looks like I'm going to have to go up market for the Macan once my lease ends Feb-26.

It does look like the value proposition between the Macan and X3 has narrowed. Not because of Porsche changing anything, more so the BMW...

In my opinion 75k is too much for an x3 but that's just me ‍♀️
That build image is an F97 X3M with sweet looking Merino M Sport seats. We could get a decent discount on those here.

Your configuration is $~94k with options. The $75k was just the starting point. Also, as was stated it not for the NEW 2025; its the 2024 & probably could be gotten discounted below MSRP
