I’m so glad I just bought an 24 X4M that’ll hold me over for 5 years then it looks like a move to Porsche.
This interior is absolutely awful. The multiples shapes and cheap ass light bars aren’t luxury they are corny. Looks like a Kia. Current BMWs have the thin crisp looking interior accent lighting…this shit looks like a light up aftermarket piece off eBay. No more volume buttons on the dash Those vents are shit. Rented an X5 they other day..so hard to get air without blasting the fan. ID9 is better than 7 but taking my eyes off the road for essentially every function on the climate control is not an upgrade…it’s not safe at all. BMW needs to just stop |

Good lord BMW could you have chosen a more atrocious color than cream to launch your new M50. Who is making these decisions?
I don’t hate the exterior as much as I thought I would but it’s definitely not an improvement in any way shape or form over the outgoing G01 M40i. This new M50 reminds me of my kitchen refrigerator. Functional but just another boring appliance. You sucked the heart and soul out of your top model BMW. Good job. On a bright note, I think the new disco like interior will make a lot of 12 year old boys very happy. Maybe if you stick with this new design they’ll get their check books out in about 30 years. I for one will not be writing out any big checks this fall. Thank you for saving me $70K.

I agree with most comments here. The interior seems featureless, bland, cheaper and somewhat garish. I do admit I am not a trendy person so maybe it's just not for me. I really do like my '23 (except for seat comfort and HK system disappointments).
Has anyone noticed the panoramic roof is now solid instead of multi-piece so it can no longer be opened for air? Maybe that's considered an upgrade in some regards, but I really personally enjoy being able to tilt open for fresh air. I do also slide open occasionally under ideal conditions but not as often as I tilt. |

This thing is... ugly. That interior could possibly be the most hideous interior I have ever seen on any modern car. The G45 already looks like a swing and a miss. I will be hanging on to my 2022 for the foreseeable future. Hopefully they can fix this abomination with the LCI.

Of course everyone has a different opinion which is a good thing. I personally like it myself. I thought it would be worse but not at all. 👌

I agree its not good, but in this class what else is there… everything else is being hit with cost cutting and ugly/boringness too

interior ambiance lighting is no longer for ambiance but disco... As expected we lost all kind of real buttons, now we have to enjoy not pressing anything and just touching without much feed back.
Back in the days there was a consistency across model range of the brand to make them recognisable as BMW, not only the grill but the side profile, headlights and tail lights had stuff in common. Now it's all over the place I feel. Quad exhaust on M lites is still something that should have never existed i think. |

Based off of the G60 5 Series it may have the 205 Watt Amplifier (From the Base G30 HiFi). But I’m strongly convinced it will have the 464 Watt System based off the fact the G01 has it.

I’m 26 and I don’t think the vast majority of BMW designs will age well. I understand the motivation, the new designs appeal very strongly to the 25-35 y/o influencer/hypebeast audience which has been very strong for BMW these days.
When I was growing up, the average age of M3 buyers I felt like was 30-40. Now, the average audience seems to be 25-30 y/o’s who are comfortable blowing 1/2 their annual income on cars. I’m sure someone at BMW saw the potential to create cars that focus test well with the 25-35 y/o range and focus test well on social media, and it has been working out well for them. If I was a shareholder I would be pleased. Personally the melted soap bar side profiles, cost cutting interiors, and lack of focus on driver engagement has pretty much forced me to Porsche/Lotus. Unfortunate, as BMW was my favorite brand growing up. |

So, they are charging extra for a cloth dashboard now. What happened to the leather one? I've seen cloth dashboards in other cars, and they look super cheap compared to the ones with leather. This interior is going to look like crap in a few years. BMW's interiors were already quite minimalistic compared to other brands in the past. That's one of the reasons I like this brand so much. I don't understand this new trend. At the end of the day, it's a car, and it should be designed for the customer's convenience, not the other way around. I guess, like most industries, they are aiming at the Asian market, and the West is being left behind. Anyway, the exterior looks good enough to me—nothing to complain about, but nothing to rave about either.
I just checked the German configurator. The price of the configuration I made is 10k euros less than the configuration I made for the new Macan. Well, the choice is made.

This does nothing for me. Exterior styling is meh and the interior sucks. And I'm not even one of those guys that is against "modern" design.
The ambient lighting looks stupid and cheap. The M badge near the cup holders looks absolutely ridiculous. I'm not mad at the steering wheel and big ass screen, but there isn't much else to say positive things about. Either I'm riding this X3M until the wheels fall off, or I'm getting into a M3. I just can't get with the new design language BMW has going on. It seems completely void of any character or soul. |

The German configurator is live. Gotta say, it's a hard car to love. The recycled "luxury" textile dash is a €500 option.

Exterior is all good to me, drag coefficient of 0.27 is a great achievement.
But the plastic interior, wow what happened? Not only are more parts made of plastic, but the quality of plastic looks so cheap and scratchy, even worse than the new G60... Also indicator stalk, doesn't look like it's from BMW |
