No they're not, they show how likely it is to come across a bmw on the road.
That europe outsells the US about 2:1 in cars has already been established. In the US there are about as many bmw;s sold as in Germany and the UK toghether. However the cars sold in the US are probably higher specced, so revenue wise it may be a little bit different (and China will probably peak at this figure as that's probably where the majority of the cars is in the upper market)
