I just totally feel like I am on the top of the fucking world right now!

I have a few epic friends who I rely in everything. They saved my life when I was completely overwhelmed and they helped me to deal with my mild anger issues when all in my world came crashing down.

Last week one of them called in the favor, her daughter is so fucked up right now for multiple reasons. All she needed was a dog for the weekend and I have those!

So! Tomorrow I'll go to my former bank (again) and show them the documents and make them copy the paperwork again but my friends kid got the help she needed from my annoyingly clingy dog and I'm yet again cool with the small issues with my life.

And... I rest my f****** case against these pathetic Vampires!

Wells Fargo exec who oversaw scam-plagued department gets $125 million golden parachute!

Quote:
Former Wells Fargo executive Carrie Tolstedt oversaw a unit of the bank where employees ran a customer account scam that led to $185 million in fines.
http://assets.nydailynews.com/polopo...ing-awards.jpg

She left with nearly that much cash getting stuffed into her pockets.

Tolstedt received a $124.6 million golden parachute from Wells Fargo when she left in July — and didn’t have to pay back any of the nine-figure salary from her scandalous tenure, Fortune reported Monday.

Tolstedt worked at Wells Fargo for 27 years, and completed her tenure as the company’s head of community banking.

She left the bank in late July — right before the tab came for a massive racket from her department.

Wells Fargo, the country’s biggest bank by stock market value, had to pay $185 million in civil fines last week for alleged wrongdoing by workers in Tolstedt’s unit.
Carrie Tolstedt worked at Wells Fargo for 27 years, and completed her tenure as the company’s head of community banking.

Regulators said thousands of employees opened unauthorized customer accounts to meet quotas — a move known internally as “sandbagging.” Each account brought up to $50 in fines for the customer.

Wells Fargo said it fired about 5,300 employees connected to the scam since it was uncovered in 2011.

Regulators never determined the extent of Tolstedt’s knowledge about the abuse, and she was never named directly in the lawsuits brought over it. But she took over the division in 2008, meaning she oversaw it for the entirety of the racket.

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau accused Wells Fargo of knowing about the behavior long before acting on it.

Wells Fargo instituted a so-called “clawback” provision after the 2008 financial crisis, which allows the bank to take back pay from executives tied to wrongdoing.

But Wells Fargo said it will not be reclaiming any cash from Tolstedt before she collects her last big payday, according to Fortune.

Tolstedt received $9.1 million from the bank last year and owned 2.5 million shares of its stock, SEC filings show.

When the bank announced Tolstedt’s exit in mid-July, it made no mention of the scandal hanging over her department.

Instead, Wells Fargo chairman and CEO John Stumpf released a statement calling Tolstedt “one of our most valuable Wells Fargo leaders, a standard-bearer of our culture, a champion for our customers, and a role model for responsible, principled and inclusive leadership.”

Reps for the bank said Tolstedt’s retirement was a “personal decision.”
Wow... Anyone who defends these scumbags is either severely blinded and or an employee/contributor/supporter to such practices!

I'm old school and only know of maybe 2 members here older than me at 46. That being said... I remember the days when you went into the bank, you had a regular personal banker who came over to get you, asked about your work, family and kids by name, etc. And never tried to shove some additional sales products down your throat. Nowadays, you're lucky if the personal teenage banker even lasts at the branch a couple of months. And they sure as f*** could give a shit about your personal life. If you ain't signed up with them for multiple products, you're dead weight. I have a more pleasant experience at a clothing retailer.

@jtodd_fl - I was gonna ask the same thing.D

TXSTYLE - I started in banking 20 years ago, and you are exactly right. Consolidation has removed the community banking element as you noted.

Indeed. I remember when Big Banks started gobbling up all the local banks. It was the beginning of the end for customer service with banks.
