Hang in there. Hopefully it'll get better. I used to coach Little League Baseball and one season we won 2 of about 15 games. We worked harder and the next season we won almost all of them. |

I still remember that perfect year in AYSO. My son was probably 12. 0-10, still made it to playoffs (yeah, everyone did) and the kids were SO upset when they didn't get to come back for another game. We ALMOST got that second game because another team barely made their volunteer hours. They didn't win any games, but there were so many of them who now knew what a pass was, how to anticipate where the ball was coming or needed to go, heck could even perform an offside trap. Best season I ever had as a coach.

I finally get my VM service contract straight. They jump on and help me configure a new vnic. That sorta went south on host 1, so HA puts are virtuals on host 2.
From front console we correct host 1 and it's back on line. Both VM and Dell techs tell me host 1 has been up 460 days, it would be good to physically reboot. I know no better, they drop off as I'm rebooting It doesn't come back. Can't read the internal SSD and boots temp. A check of host 2 shows it can't see SSD either, so I'm now 1 simple mistake from losing the entire PD dispatch and records

Stage IV NHL diag in 2019 and after 2 months of IV Rituximab I am in a watch and wait status. I should probably be dead. I have too much money to die now. I am in the gym and the muscle growth is obtainable at 64. My goal is to be in the best shape of my life. The last time I played this game I was 42 living in Alamo Heights/San Antonio. Don't let the doctors fool you........your mind is a powerful thing.

My cardiologists sent me home from the hospital to die back in 2016, but I obviously didn't listen to them! I struggle every day with simple things that I used to be able to do without a second thought, but fighting every day certainly beats the other option.....

I guess I'll jump on the dumpster fire bandwagon.
Friday Oct 7th, a normal great Friday. Mom goes in for a CT with contrast to look at some kidney stones (weren't causing any issues. Wanted to ensure they weren't obstructing urine flow). The doc comes in and tells her he thinks she has bone cancer. Oct 12th, on the phone with my stepdad (he's basically my dad. He and my mom are divorced.) and he tells me oh there's something you should know but I'll tell you later. I stopped him and said no what it is. There's a spot on my pancreas that's doubled in size over the past year. After many tests with my Mom, we've ended up at triple negative breast cancer that's metastasized to her bones (sternum, ribs, lumbar and thoracic spine, pelvis and left femur). My stepdad got his biopsy back and in that corner we have pancreatic cancer. He has a CT with contrast next week to determine stage and how successfully it can be resected. His GI doc seems to think once resected he will be fine. It's been a month from hell to say the least. You hear of shit like this and think man that sucks. Bad. You know it can happen to anyone but most of us choose to live positive lives not putting that negative energy in the air that something like this would happen. It definitely changes where your priorities lie and most of us in America live with fucked up priorities as it is these days. I guess I'm just rambling at this point and no one reading any of the crappy shit in this thread will make any change to their life. We all run about thinking it will never happen to us. Enjoy life and take that day off and disconnect, spend time with family or friends who are like family. Don't put off that thing you think you'll have time for 6 months or a year from now. I'm sure everything will turn out fine. |

Just sold a race car to a guy in Long Island, NY. Dad came down with him. Father was not a recovering perfectionist but a practicing perfusionist with the VA! Good luck with health man. I will be donating all my portfolio to childrens cancer research in the end.

FML! We were supposed to be on the road this morning for a long holiday weekend trip. Instead, I'll be spending the weekend stuck at home, because both of my DW's co-workers came down with you-know-what yesterday afternoon. I just canceled all of our hotel reservations, because I don't want to spread it around if she was also exposed...or even worse gets sick on the road......

So the phone rings...on Black Friday...and the caller ID says that it's my cardiologist's office. The poor doctor who got stuck working the holiday told me that the gadget in my chest driving my ticker phoned home overnight, and reported that I have five months left to live (before the batteries go dead).
I sure do hope that these doctors remember that the device keeping me alive was not originally installed for full-time use, and that it included provisions for hot-swapping. As my primary cardiologist (I call him Dr. Doom) says, when those batteries go dead, you go dead.....

Like I said in the car thread that shut everyone down and they pivoted. "We had to cancel our hotel reservations" JFC, a lot of you have lost any sense of reality for the average person. |

I'm sure that I'll be fine, but maybe I should have a private consultation with the BP-OT Chief of Stuff just to be safe.....
