Well there’s a price point at which certain products will sell and it seems like the moment BMW starts approaching $140-150K people look elsewhere not counting in keyboard warriors but actual buyers. At that price point there are many options and that is not amount of money that I personally would spend on any BMW and personally I think that by the time it’s properly equipped it’ll land exactly in that range.

Not sure what you mean here...we're getting the normal M5 too. Unless you mean the M5 is the only touring model that we get.

the enthusiast market is a weird one. i think there is a bit of contrarianism which shoots up wagon values. sedans as well.

while the M4 coupe and convertible get hung out to dry because BMW sells so many of them they aren't seen as a 'desirable' collector piece.

5 pages and almost 100 posts and no one mentions a V8 engine? This is an enthusiasts’ site?

Is there somewhere that states it will finally get wider fenders? I must've missed reading that.

It’s just not the type of vehicle that’s going to get you laid - unless it’s the wife requesting it…

IMO SUV's are for Soccer Moms, Kids and Dogs and Old Men.

Next time you walk out of the grocery store, look around and you will find a sea of SUV's. How many folks can tell the difference between a X3/X5 and your basic Ford or Nissan. My 2 years owning a BMW X3, I consider as my Automotive Purgatory.

You may be hanging out with the wrong women? Take a page from the Hunter Biden dating book, It's not about the car. Now if your looking for a life partner nothing says stable and mature like a guy in a Sports Wagon.

I meant that the only touring available will be the M5. So it’s probably a Bmw’s way to say we know it won’t sell and we told you so. So even if they sell few hundred since the profit margin are so high it will make profit. If Bmw was serious about Tourings in Usa we would have a 330i/M340i as volume seller. Therefore brigning the M3 as a niche product would be easy. They could make a 540i and some type of i5 touring for our market it would show some good faith. But with just the M5 Touring available they are pretty much laughing at us.

100 percent agree. I am pretty sure this is what I am trading my M4 in for. It’s the price point mostly and somewhat performance that will stop me. The XM is 160-170k. Let’s say a loaded one of these matches that. Depending on how they lease, i’m pretty damn close to 911 territory. I might just say fuck it and go that route. it’s has to weight in close to 3 tons. Talk about a flying brick.

And if I can, a six speed please.

Maybe this will bring me back to BMW, but I gotta say I love my RS6. Looks great, handles great, faster than my C2S.

I hope they don’t completely botch the styling. The M3 is still not growing on me.
