It’s definitely a cropped image in order to fit the Instagram post. But yes, they 100% use it all the time. Don’t know why they don’t change it but yeah very strange. The headlights are accurate as do the grill size. Another thing, the fenders are exactly that of the ones we’ve seen with camo.

The G80 M3 definitely had potential but this one feels like a whole different story. Seeing new designs in person can make a huge difference. The forums can be all about complaints but then BMW goes and sells more of the new stuff anyway and that release photo might not be doing it justice. If you took off the BMW badge, it could easily pass for a Chinese knock-off.

My same thoughts and I think there’s something to it. Hoping to ICE version isn’t so loud - at least not this way.

IX3 is going to be based on the Nause Klasse. This is the ICE X3. It’s also the PHEV with non M-Sport package. I don’t see the grill changing for M-Sport pack. The M50 trim could get the i5 M60 grill or X2 M35i grill.

well, the last time i commented on the front end of a bmw design issue, i was a colonel and banned. now i'm a lowly "member" and don't care as much anymore....

Bmw designers have an era. This era is led by the Korean designers who don’t know better or they are just helping BMW gain that east Asia market share.

This will end with due time, like the Bangle era ended. With all said and done these designs make the Bangle designs look far far better. I for one was a big fan of his designs that gave the characteristic German automotive design statement albeit controversial and not to everyone’s liking.

Let these designers have and serve their tenure, it’s likely bottom to top team hired from the same Kia/Hyundai houses.

There are only so many ways to differentiate a vehicle. Every style change is an attempt to differentiate with the usual and predictable response from those who welcome these changes or not.

This vehicle will sell for many good reasons and that's what matters at the end.

Looking forward to BMWUSA sales statistics updates.

I feel like everyone is just responding to the grill - which is certainly different. The m50 will undoubtedly be different and hopefully better. But outside of the grill, nothing seems to crazy here… if they have a blacked out version of it - would you even notice it much?

I feel like we might be overreacting a bit.
