The service packages if available are Service Inclusive (£1044) which is an upfront payment that can be added to your PCP, or monthly BMW Emac service plan, which isn’t billed via the dealer and can’t be added to your PCP, but is refundable if not used. There may also be dealer “group” service plans, which limit service to the franchise locations. Also check the small print. |

Thanks vm if anyone has recommendations on who to approach at the dealers please DM me (happy to mention your name if it helps you with future buys).
Also what's general view on M50 holding value of 3-5 years vs standard M 2.0, appreciate hard to predict but based on other Mx variations from the X3. |

If you go PCP the future depreciation is BMW's risk as this is fixed from the outset which sets the GFV (guaranteed future value).
A higher GFV is beneficial because this transfers more risk to BMW and means monthly payments and less interest paid. The PCP also gives you options at the term end depending on market conditions in the future. Dealers often claim a lower GFV is better because it gives you more equity at the end if you trade or sell, but this is rubbish as you pay more upfront and take more risk, because you are simply financing the difference between the sale price today and GFV. If you pay outright, the risk relating to depreciation is all yours, and given the push to EV and the looming 2030 new ICE UK sales ban, it's a volatile period. |
