beautiful car, inside and out. At 10/10's driving, the magazines would say the CTS-V/E63/M5 would be better, but we all know that no sane person would be doing 10/10's driving in a premium luxury car, even if it is performance oriented. It's more car than most people can ask for, and it's arguably the best looking car in its class.
As for reliability, I think we've come to the point where reliability gaps between automakers have shrank to the point where it really is the luck of the draw. I agree with your assessment that dealer treatment is most important. We know that these cars come with cutting edge technology with cutting edge headaches. Your dealer makes a big difference; depending on the treatment, it can be a simple headache or a catastrophe causing you to think about invoking the lemon law. Again Congrats! |

The XFR is a class act, extremely quick, an accomplished handler and remarkably comfortable. At present only the new E63 does some of these better but it's at a price and doesn't have the Jag's looks.
Though based on my experience of the new 5 series I think the next M5 will be these best car in it's sector...........and then some. |

3000km update
I have driven my XF-R for the past 3 months o so, an have to say iam very impressed with the quality. I have not had one problem, creak, rattle (knock on wood). The car is magical in the snow with the snow mode buttom. I get none stop comments from people in parking lots, i have had a handful of kids photograph it in the past few weeks. Iam very happy with this car, much happier with this then any of my BMW's including mt 2009 X5 4.8 which my ife now drives. I would reccomend this car to anyone looking to spend 100k. I think bang for the buck its unbeatable. |

"For a while Callum directed design for both Jaguar and Aston Martin, and he has clear ideas about the differences between the two marques. “Jaguars are more voluptuous than Astons, more curvaceous, more extreme. They shout a bit louder than Astons.” The E-type, he says, is the perfect example. “Though it was a beautiful car it was quite a statement. Visually it’s shouting at you. You couldn’t get more ostentatious than the E-Type.”" http://www.pistonheads.com/doc.asp?c=52&i=10823

God the XF is beautiful. Add in 510 hp and its just astounding. I am not a fan of the interior design personally, but the materials look top-notch...

I've test driven one abotu a yr ago. My boss has one. Radio is PATHETIC (not HD). Love the power, but I laugh at him at the pump (fill up every 3-4 days).
But then again, if I were to consider a CAR over an SUV, the Jag used to be my top choice ... until Porshe made thier ___________ (you fill in the blanks, and if you don't know, you "betta ask sumbody!") |

No HD radio. What are you talking about? It comes with a Bowers and Wilkins sound system and HD digital radio Porshe is spelled Porsche and I think we all know what they build in terms of a GT sedan. It's not exactly news......... But since you've reopened this ancient thread, I'd like to hear how the OP is liking the car now that he's had it for a while. |

Wow, dug this one up from the grave....
I currently have about 15,000km on the car and I have to say I absolutely am in love with this car. Most cars the novelty does seem to wear off. I have a 2011 x5 50i I have had it 3 months and am already bored of it. I have to say guys iam very happy with this car, I have a quicksilver exhaust being installed Friday, iam considering re-mapping the ECU. Which will get me another 70 or so hp. So I'd be running about 580hp. It's been in the shop once, for a faulty battery. They gave me a loaner car.....a 2007 Mercedes benz cls amg. Great service. Again great car. No complaints at all. Cheers |

The car looks amazing, defiantly has more presence then most other sedans.
Most of the comments are laughable at best in here.
