Which means he had an advantage. And in 2006 the gripe from all the other teams against the teams which kept using limited V10s was that they had loads more torque, which gave them an advantage in stop and start tracks, like Monaco and Valencia. So it was not a level playing field and everything is skewed in Valentino's favor. I'm not saying he isn't extremely talented when it comes to motorsport, but Rossi's times are not valid in any way, shape, or form in sizing him up against F1 drivers.
valid point. heres more recent test: http://www.gpupdate.net/en/f1-news/2...h-f1-lap-time/

You have the same situation there though. He's running slick tires on a chassis that never used those, which provides a couple seconds. Then he was running in 'time attack' mode, so he would've been carrying maybe 4 or 5 laps worth of fuel, and probably down to 1 or 2 when he set the time. Raikkonen's time would've been on grooved tires and carrying a remaining 20 laps worth of fuel on the lap the top time was set. You're talking over 100 pounds of more weight on tires with much less grip.My point is that this is a publicity stunt at the end of the day, he's never going to put in times in qualifying/race conditions or anything like that. So his times should be taken with a grain of salt. They're competetive times for an amateur single seat driver, but not even close to the level they need to be at for an F1 driver.

You guys sound like a buncha 12 year olds.

Don't you want to live long prosperous lives full of money, cars, travel, women, and or whatever else you interpret as enjoyable?

F1 Driver- Looks dandy... Driving race cars weeee yahhhh!! Okay sure, while it lasts. Most F1 drivers are lucky to be racing after 15 years. That's only if you don't die in a ball of fire prior to..
Moto GP- Are you kidding me? Lol, yeah.. I ride, I love riding, but to do it on a professional level? Id rather not risk my life everyday "At the office"
Baseball- Who the fuck wants to play baseball anyway. *yawn. Although, it is better than the above, given the career length.

Be a Pro golfer, buy your damn race car/crotch rocket and build a fucking track. While you're at it throw a baseball diamond next to it.

Your right. Although i think if Rossi did join im sure he would get a championship, not in rookie year but in couple years of racing im sure he has all the capabilities to win.

Ferrari still wants him and even offered him training after he broke his leg this year. Although Valentino was quoted as not wanting to go to F1 but is more interested in WRC.

Its about passion aswell and not just monetary value or women. Some cannot justify putting there lives at risk every time they get on a bike or get in a f1 car. People like shumacher and rossi can. It has to do with each persons risk allocation.

PS: what do u ride?

From my stand point, thats not a factor I guess.... As I dont have a true passion for any of the above... I'm looking at the big picture.

Just a little GSXR 600

You're all wrong. Haha.

NFL.... Don't care for the injury, but would be a blast for sure.

F1.... Don't care for the pressure, but again no other experience like it on the ground.

Baseball.... Can't in good conscience subject fellow humans to such a boring sport.

PGA pro... At first it makes sense, but then you realize what a fat ass you've become because you can't swing around your gut. Haha

Moto gp.... That's funny. May as well say super cross.

For me it would be tennis. Great money, great travel, excellent longevity, you stay fit, get to be out doors all the time; all the while being able to live a relatively private life.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it!!!

Makes sense to me. By the way, I saw your car again in North Tampa. Almost got into another accident craning my neck to see that boot
