Oh, why the hell not:
Realistic: Porsche Cayman GTS. New or used, I will have a Cayman. (I'd say 911, but I see way too many hyper-conservative geezers and trust fund babies with 'em in Big D. I am neither, and I don't want to be considered either.) I've always considered a late '60s-early-'70s 911 Targa as my vintage target, but the value of those has at least tripled since the Recession. Probably not gonna happen, since I can't rely on a 40-plus-year-old car as a DD. Not realistic: Oh, how the list is long. If I had to choose one new and one vintage: Vintage: 1963 split-window 'vette. New: Whatever McLaren is available and attainable. 540C, 570S, 675LT, 650S, P1: I don't care. I adore them all. As long as I can get it painted in midnight blue.

Realistic-ish Dream Car: Mazda MX5 (ND). Almost bought one, but it doesn't fit into my life for now as a single car. Bought a 2016 Golf R instead which I love too.
Non-Realistic Dream Car: Porsche Boxster GTS. I'll never be able to afford one of these brand new. |

Realistic: My current E36 and E92 M3, along with my soon to be F80, as well as a 911 GT3 (still not sure which model). The M3 collection will be complete within a year or 2, the 911 will take much much longer, but still a goal of mine.
Unrealistic: Mclaren F1

Realistic?
S65 1er. I'd have a 1M but I'd rather not cut it's heart out. Still working on that. Crazy Dreams? Like Never in a Million Years Crazy Dream Car? 1962 250 GTO. Nuff said. Pretty sure it's the best most beautiful car, ever. Followed by the 1964 E-Type Lightweight. Probably prefer one of the 6 continuation models of the original 18 just to get something... newer. The E-type continuation builds are pretty cool actually. Motortrend did a great article. Click:http://www.motortrend.com/news/jagua...-drive-review/

That is sweet. I was in Thailand and some people rebuild those on the cheap with genuine parts. A wonderful machine.
My realistic car was my Alfa 156 in Thailand. Because Thailand has 175%-400% taxes on cars, based on engine cc. Alfas got a bad reputation and the prices were reasonable. Toyotas and Lexus are the price of a BMW and Maceratis in Europe. So imagine what Maceratis cost in Thailand... REALISTIC THAILAND car: a 2 liter Alfa Romeo 156 disguised as a GTA (wheels and skirts) Then I came to Canada and bought my E90 335i with all options except the radar. This is my REALISTIC CANADIAN car. Quadruple my salary and I won't get the newer models. I might consider light mods if I have huge sums of money to cover risk of repairs. UNREALISTIC CAR: Macerati Quatroporte. I don't like supercars this is a good balanced car. I am following this thread though and might discover other cars you guys suggest and could be convinced to change! Last edited by loknar; 01-15-2016 at 01:23 PM.. Reason: img tag missing |

1/Realistic - Aston Martin V8 Vantage. Runner up is a Maserati GT.
2/Unrealistic - As others have said, any McLaren really. I would say F1 but I'm not a good manual driver so I'd opt for the P1. Macca has always been my dream brand. Runner up is a Dauer Porsche "962". I prefer them to the Schuppan design.
