Chilis for dinner tonight in Secausus NJ. Queso Burger and a 22oz Blue moon
I can assure you that the food that came out of the kitchen looked NOTHING like this, the Blue moon was ok... but no orange, and she never came back to see if I wanted another (or to bring me silverware or a napkin) |

New drives for a NVR NAS I'm building. Need dedicated space for vids from my PoE cams. By using up some Amazon points I had, these 2 drives set me back $85. I'm hoping Synology stuff will be on sale on Black Friday. Looking for another DS220+.

Here's a shot I just took. Not quite the effect I was after, but we have these awful casement windows and very heavy wooden slat blinds, so I wasn't able to mount the light strip as close to the inside glass as I had wanted. I think if you have a normal picture window and white Venetian blinds or some other sort, it'd work better. These fade slowly from red to green, but you can set up any light sequence you want.

Wifey hasn't seen it yet. She may hate it, so it won't take much convincing to get me to tear the whole string out.

Keeping it real on the golf course. Mind you these are shorts and even in Arizona it's too cold for me to wear again until spring.

I went to Home Depot this morning for a couple of PVC couplers and saw this sale on a Ryobi Sliding Compound Miter saw. I was going to get one of these soon for a project my brother and I are going to do in a few weeks, but this sale included the free Miter Saw Quick Stand. $289 out the door for the saw and stand, so why not? I also got my Xmas lights.

You ever shoot with the Canon 135/2.0? If so, I'd love to know how they compare.

Although I'm a Nikon guy, I believe the Canon 135/2 to be the best 135 available, with regards to boke, it's just fantastic. I also have the V1 Zeiss 135/2 APO Sonnar. It's great, but manual focus, and too much CA. Where the Sig is going to shine is in less CA, but I'm still going to side with Canon for the Boke. This is in contrast to the 200/2, which is my main lens. I prefer its boke over the Canon 200/1.8. |
