I see more M4's than M3's by me.

I see a C8 like once every couple of months. And if i'm not at work, i'm driving around aimlessly. I love to drive. I rarely see C8 stingrays. The z06 will be a fucking unicorn.

I'm actually a bit nervous on getting a 1st year because i know people will be following me home or wanting to do something at gas stations etc.

Everyone wants this supercar.

Why would they price the z06 at 90k in today's market when 2020 stingrays are still fetching for 85-95 for 1LT models. Used 3LT models are still going for 110k.

If they can't produce enough of a product, and the demand is so high, the price goes higher. Supply and demand. People want the car. People can't wait. Some do some can't. I can get my stingray today if i want. But then i'll be buying a used one with 10k miles for 25k over that MSRP when new. Instead my build is about 80k, for a '23 model and i can get in spring. Because i can wait.

The z06 is priced according to economic times, inflation, interest and demand.

It's 106k MSRP, not 160k.

People really have to stop bitching. If you want the car, pay up and stop whining.

There are gigantic bitching threads on the corvette forum talking about the same thing. Oddly enough, people have moved on on the subject of price and now understand why GM did it.

You either want the car or you don't. If you're getting it, means you're past the price concern. I won't even call it an issue. It's far from it.

Bunch of guys who haven't ever driven anything besides bmw.. what can you do? Can't convince them anything is better. Then they graduate to pcars, and the Porsche guys have the same attitude.

was looking to rent a c8 when i visit LA next month. sucks that it wont fit a medium sized suitcase like the 718 boxster does. so either i buy my gf new carry on or rent an lc500 vert. i will say there are a TON of c8s for rent in socal. ~ 3LT for 3 days is about 700. 1LT about 550

Almost everyone is adding (or trying) to add a C8 stingray to their fleet because in their own words, "everyone is asking when i'm going to add a C8 corvette to the fleet so they can rent one".

Everyone loves the damn car. GM knocked it out of the fucking park with this generation.

Except for how it looks, which is kinda important. To each their own but it still looks weird to me. The z06 fixes some of that but not all of it. I can live with it for the engine.

There is no perfect looking car.

The stingray obviously doesn't look as good, when we now know what the z06 looks like.

The only thing i would fix on the C8 is the boomerang but it's not a big deal. And the z06 does make it look more aggressive.

It's a radical looking design for GM's first go at a ME corvette. I think they did a phenomenal job. And with all the craze about it, just proves that. You will have haters but that comes with the territory about any car.

It's just odd because people show a lot of hate for corvettes yet when i'm in mine, everyone can't stop looking, smiling, giving the thumbs up, taking pictures or trying to talk at lights or when i'm parked somewhere.

Do you have a Z on order? I called McMulkin (i have a vette ordered there for my uncle) and he told me list is 2400 deep for Z.. i might be dead by the time i got one.

Those are definitely amazing looking cars. But perfect? No not at all.

If you're not on any list, it's too late, IMHO to get one at MSRP new. You will have to wait for the used market. And if you go with a smaller dealer that somehow might get one in a couple of years, chances are you're overpaying.

Last time i checked, i was 154 at MM for a z06. So unless they only get 100 allocations for the first model year, i should get mine around spring, i hope. Oddly i'll be getting my stingray around the same time lol.

Nah, they’re actually perfect. Point is GM could have easily done better. The z06 looks like a horse’s ass compared to those cars. I still want one though.
