^^^^ Haha. I'd never sell at a loss. Unlike options, stocks and ETFs eventually bounce back to purchased levels, even if you have to wait several months.

Here's an idea, the moment u start seeing equities or anything tradeable being mentioned on car forums, just start getting short those names. SLV prime example.

Just saw that one but oil did not tank nearly as bad as Silver did after. I still reckon after this dip due to margin increase requirements the long term trend for Silver is up and oil should bounce back up again as well though short term both could fall further. |

Would have made very good money on them calls today for those that bought the dip on Friday but those that chased today could be in for a surprise tomorrow or further gains if they did not pocket their profits today.

Nah, I wouldn't either. More of a joke that anytime Chambers comes out and talks that CSCO dips.

I am really curious about how much money you guys are personally investing with. I don't think you should answer unless you're 100% ok with discussing this. Is it less than $30,000; more than $30,000 and up to $70,000; $70,000 up to $150,000 or $250,000 ? I think it'd be interesting to know or better yet, how much per year you invest based on a percentage of annual income, i.e. 20% of your annual income per year is invested by you. I do 15% personally and 20% by vanguard.

I'm using very little money to actively trade right now, just enough to invest in a few positions at a time. I'm just getting started with this and also getting into pretty volatile stuff so if I lose it, no biggie. I have a large amount invested through other funds, long term positions through both 401k and IRA.
I'm glad I didn't get back into SLV!

Yep. Stick a fork in Cisco, they're done. Sold my shares yesterday.
