No, I don't think so, not if you're open and up front about how the image came about.
Looks perfect to me. Thanks for sharing, Alan.

Polar bear enjoys a roll in the snow:

Here's a link to an Album with my best shots from my trip to Churchill, Canada:

https://www.flickr.com/photos/dcstep...h/30802800107/

Most of the shots were taken, handheld, with my Sony a7RIII, my FE 400mm f/2.8 GM OSS and my 2.0x teleconverter. A few were taken with the a9. Focusing was never an issue, so I opted mostly for the higher resolution of the a7.

Not bad for a 1" sensor. Sun falling behind the rim at Crater Lake last week.

Nice to get "explored" on turkey day, and finally a shot that I actually think is worthy. These two youngsters were just having a ball that day as I watched them play.

Not sure if all you guys are super-talented or the equipment you're using makes it look that way. In any case, keep'em coming!

I think most of us are what I call "blue collar", in that we've been working at it for many years, as a passion. The right equipment helps, but you can get into nature shooting with a Sony RX-10 for way less than we had to spend years ago.

Jump in and just keep trying to present something better each time. You're sure to improve if you keep at it. Dave

Terry, incredible low clouds over a crystal-clear scene.

The rain certainly saved Thanksgiving in Northern California. Thanksgiving morning I took the A9 out with a Canon 500 +1.4 mounted using the Sigma MC-11. With the latest firmware update, they seem to have stepped ahead of the Metabones for the time being.

Great shot.

Does the MC-11 allow "Lock-on" modes yet?

It worked in zone and wide for me, which are what I normally use. I haven't tried adjustable spot lock-on yet. It is still not as fast as my GM 100-400, but it's hard to argue with the image quality. I think it is mainly useful for outdoor use, as by the time you put an adapter and TC on it, it becomes very unwieldy inside a vehicle, even my truck. Still the performance was very acceptable shooting from the viewing platform at the NWR.

This is the first time that I have spotted this thread.

This is a couple of photos that I took of a UK Garden Tiger Moth in July 2014.

It landed on the inside of my front room window at midnight when I left the windows and doors open while decorating.

I did not even know that it was laying eggs until I put the photos on my PC.

I placed a piece of A4 paper on the outside of the window to get a clear photo and the Moth let me get within an inch of it to take the photos in macro mode.

The last photo was taken in the morning while it was sat on my front room window sill.
