The new X1 would be very cool, but IMHO the grill is about 20% too big for that body, which kinda ruins it for me personally. I'm a bit scared to see the new X3, in case they do that again...

I had a loaner the other day with id8 and no gear shift and I did not like it. I hope the next x3m40 or 50 doesn’t lose the gear shifter. Why on earth are they doing that. Also not a fan of losing buttons lol… but I would be a fan if it has what was mentioned here, someone said 485hp? Isn’t that about what the x3m now has? That would be terrific and I guess worth losing buttons and gear shifter for? Love my current 23 x3m40 but about the time I’d be ready for my next one is likely when ordering will start … I assume late next year?
Here’s my current baby

Would be nice if they did some extra suspension goodies like rear wheel steering, and anti roll bars like in the x5 pro setup. Maybe it could compete more with the Macan if they did?
It’s frustrating that bmw sells “adaptive” or multi modes as something we should be excited for while is should just be standard in all their cars… |

Question for the X3 drivers - can you fit a couple sets of golf clubs in the back without much trouble?

I’d say just intrigued at the moment. I really like my M550 and don’t want to get rid of it. So not sure how I’d make room. But I had an X3 loaner recently and was blown away by how much I liked it. Way roomier inside than I imagined and fun to drive. Also was surprised how comfortable it was even without the multi contour seats. If they indeed up the interior quality and luxury for the new one, I would be really tempted to find a way to get an M50 in the driveway at some point. Maybe for my wife, if I pay off the X7 early and just keep it as a flex car. Got two kids and the big barge is needed for trips, etc.

The m550 is a sweet car as we both know but the practicality of an suv is always attractive - especially if you can keep 95% of the performance- at least the achievable performance on the street that is. But the m550 trunk is just as big as the x3 so you really just gain some airiness in the cabin and ground clearance? That being said, I’m being sucked into the new x3 too. Give me a smaller lighter suv with 400+ hp 6cyl -softer suspension than an x3m - x5 materials n comfort seats - and more legroom than a g05 x5 - I’m sold. One thing I’ll say - I had an m sport 30i x3 and the vernasca m sport seats were horribly uncomfortable - it’s actually a show stopper for me. If the seats don’t change I won’t get it again. On longer road trips I was squirming around in discomfort / pain - lower back issues with 2 herniated discs.. |

I’m new here so apologies I don’t know how to post a picture here yet. On page 1, the quad exhaust example, I notice a misalignment in the camouflage where a hybrid plug on the drivers front side where it typically in would be found. Anyone else notice that as well?
Could it be that the X3 M40 (or 50 if labeled so) will be hybrid like the 5 series i5 M60? Last edited by PBECC; 11-11-2023 at 01:21 PM.. |

Ah yes indeed you are correct on the badging nomenclature.
Regardless, note the quad exhaust and what appears to be a charging door driver side near the front tire well. No? https://www.motor1.com/photos/852758...view-spy-photo Shows here as well in the slideshow down in the article. Thoughts on the topic? |

I see a lot of X3, X5, and X6 where I live. Hardly ever see any X4.

I agree. X4 is pointless unless you just like it.
