I heard vegetable oil was only used to break up the surface tension on the water, hence reducing the risk of boil over. I guess I'm not using enough then...

Steroids don't make you an athlete, if you aren't superb at tennis now won't help. It can improve an already great athlete. Think stimulants would be most helpful for race car driver but being strong can't hurt either.
