Great pics!!! looking at building a 3 car garage w/ apartment space above. Wondering if 35x40 is plenty of room for 3 cars with enough space for a small shop and what ceiling height I need for a lift in one bay?
Lights make a huge difference!!

My garage is 20'wide by 22'deep. It will just accomodate the two cars with room to walk around them and open doors. I have cabinets at the deep end, and there is room to work around them.

35' ought to be pretty nice, the extra 5 feet wide is great, but the 40 feet deep....well you can have a party there!

Here are some pics to give you some perspective...

What a great transformation you made!!!

Your floor looks fantastic! Did you do that floor yourself or was it done by a contractor of sorts?
Sorry Stew,
Must have missed your reply on this. I had a contractor do the floor for me. They were able to complete it in two days. They diamond-sand the floor, then they fix any imperfections (cracks, chips, etc). Then they lay the epoxy-like substance, then the flakes, and a clearcoat.

Nothing stains on the floor! It's great!

All these garages are "real life garages". I wanted to see the "average middle class guys" garages.

My garage pics are on the first page - I'm an average middle class guy (well, living here in CA I'm probably lower middle class).

Maybe Kevin assumes that an average middle class garage should be messy or something?

I know it's not fancy and barely holds my MINI, but I'm certainly not ashamed of it either.

Use their garage floor calculator to figure out the # of boxes u need. I needed 16 or 18 boxes. With shipping that's expensive since they charge by the box (correction, looks like they now include shipping/handling).

I'm currently redoing my garage and I am thinking to get the costco motofloor.

Is there anything else in that may be in that price range?

Don't have any pics of the garage in it's current state. Here are some from when the house was built.

Here's the 2-door garage I had built. My contractor was a loser so I had to finish it out by myself. You live and you learn...

I know this may not belong here since this is absolutely not my garage. A friend sent this to me yesterday, It is just an example of someone garage tucked away in the woods someplace in PA.
