hmm.. Its funny, but Finland is one of the places where not much comes to mind when thinking about it. I don't mean that in a bad way. There just doesn't seem to be many worldly stereotypes about Fins. The only random thing that comes to my mind is that they make good locks (Abloy). Whats funny about that is the locks say "Finland" on them, but the headquarters are actually in Sweden (just looked it up).
I had to google "what is finland famous for?" and the the answers were questionable - as in WFT? 1.) Laplan 2.) Moomins 3.) Saunas 4.) Lordy 5.) Angry Birds ![]() After digging further I found these things 1. The Least Corrupt Government in the World (BORING!) 2. Most Heavy Metal Bands per Capital (thats a bit scary) 3. The Best Education System in the World (I expect more from Fins with that) 4. The Country with the Heaviest Coffee Consumption in the World (The germans and italians say the same fucking thing) 5. The Least Failed State in the World (ok?) 6. Most Saunas per Capita (so they can build a mean hot room) 7. Best Country in the World to Be a Mother (fucker?) 8. The Country Drinking the Most Milk per Capita (yuck) 9. Helsinki is the most livable city in the world (cuz boring?) 10. Helsinki is the Most Honest City in the World (cuz boring) 11. Finland does the Best Mobile Games in the World (the list didnt need to go to 11 to include that) Im not really sure what to think about Finland. I feel like they need to make a bit more of a scene on the world stage to work on its personal brand a bit more. I'd like to see a bit more action, catastrophes, personality and nudity from Finland over the next 100 years. |

I thought he translated the last name. You know, because he can! Our last names are so awful nobody can, Häkkinen for example means a Trapper, or maker of traps. Not so cool if the shoes win!

First of all, our national hero is A. I. Virtanen. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Artturi_Ilmari_Virtanen You know what he did?! He gave more milk to the world! You fucking Canadian milk baggers don't get it, neither does the world population which is like 70 something percent lactose intolerant, but our national hero (or only mine but let's not be too specific here!) is soo cool, cold, and served from a carton (that was so cool in my head). Yes, our sports heros are all supporting acts to some weirdly named Canadians (Jari Kurri) and for sure our towns and cities are boring! Even our tech is boring ! We know! Yes, we drink a ton of coffee and no, we don't talk. We are like Canadians but with less talent and with grumpier men! Everybody knows! But if you disrespect our milk heritage, we will unite in our hatred and even if it takes a hundred years, in some hockey arena somewhere, we will kick your arses in the first matches (we all know how it turns out in the finals.) and we will declare it was a win for all those people who respect our milk heritage! And we are not racists! We like all colors (except canadas and in the early spring we tolerate them too) but every Finn on this forum (me) have made it clear milk related insults will never be tolerated. You fucking Canadians. One day, one day we will have our revenge. ![]() Our music is mild and gentle, in politics we are the Canada of the old continent and well, i object only to the milk yuck thing in your post.

Dear Lups,
No one "drinks" milk - thats revolting. Milk is for coffee, baking and cereal. With "the best education system in the world" id assume the fins would catch up to the rest of us on that one. Did you know humans are the only species to drink another species milk? Yours truly, Every non Fin on the planet (including animals) |

And dude, nobody should ever mix things to milk. It doesn't matter if it's something socially acceptable like coffee (who the fuck thought of that was a total fucking murderer of two pure drinks!) or something disgusting like those sugary shits you guys eat there voluntarily. I have calculated the average consumption of our family to 2.2 liters per day per person. Without milk my kids and i would die of thirst!

You know what his last name means? Skimmed milk! I shit you not, i just remembered the meaning of that old word. I absolutely approve adding milking to both summer games and for winter games, it was a finn after all who made it an all year round sport! Quote:

You mean the little shits i gave life to who torture me with physics (you try keeping things accurate while explaining them to a five year old!!), with their weird taste for foods and who reward me for my efforts by bringing stomach flies home every damn time they possibly can?

I think by law nobody even if the conditions would permit it are allowed to be on the roads with summers after 12/1 and that goes on to the end of march or april. I think the best thing about us is that 99% of all drivers always manage to change to winter gear before the first snow. I'll update this post if I ever grow up enough to become one of those people.
