Waiting on several packages from USPS that have been "Out for Delivery" since 6AM. Usually we get mail before noon, but of course since I need some of this stuff to do what I had planned today, it's late.

I have a Fedex package that was 3 hours away last Thursday and has been sitting in STL since Friday. So they drove it past my house to a city 3 hours away and now it hasn't changed status since Friday. Just says "Delayed." Wicked helpful.
Sounds like Murphy's Law in full effect.

Pretty much. I did finally get my USPS packages, so almost everything I planned for today is now on for tomorrow. Still no Fedex delivery, so that package is probably lost. I hope the vendor doesn't make me wait too long before sending me another shipment or a refund.

So I'm looking for a way to get rid of old phones at a good price. Jumping carriers, changing phone number, etc. If I can get a good deal I'm in.
So last April I thought I traded a iphone 6s in for $400 off a s21 ultra. I had though the monthly payment price was minus that 400 when I started paying the monthly bill. Being I've never done it through carrier on a monthly credit basis I didn't know what to look for.

fast forward to today.

tmobile has a deal where you switch they pay off your phone. talked with them, sounded like a good deal. talked with VZ and there's no penalty to pay off and cancel early.
I get to looking over old bills, trying to see how far in the red I am with trading phones. Come to find out that I never got any credit for that iphone. So just a bout a year later I find this out. I'm frickin dumb.

So I'm waiting to call VZ in the morning to find out what went wrong here and what we can do to fix it.

also talking with tmobile. they pay my phone off. I wait a month and I can then use that phone as trade in for a s22 ultra and the s21 ultra is worth $1,000 off. The cameras seem off so that's a deal for me.
Then I can do the bring my own deal and get back to VZ. There's zero contract with tmobile. downside is the phone would have all their BS on it, which is really no difference from the VZ BS.

So I'm waiting to scam all the cellphones!

Got home from work today and this was at the front door.
Delivery date was suppose to be April 3rd
Still waiting for the range hood, stove, etc. Oh, and whenever they finish this one job to see if there's enough granite left over to do our countertops from the stone that we want

^^^^Would love both of those. We hate our current kitchen sink. But it's low on the list of things to upgrade in our house.

Knowing our freak show house, the countertop is probably 3/8" too narrow to fit any modern sink. Seems like everything in this house was built to some ancient spec that is no longer recognized.

Got the call yesterday that they were delivering it today. Original delivery date was for April 4th. Way ahead of schedule. I might just run an extension cord to the front living room 🤔

Sweet. Got a question about glass cooktops. When you turn off a burner, does it still show red or does it instantly revert to black? If it reverts to black, is there any indication that area is still hot?

Thanks.
That`s an induction range, flex duo with smart dial and air fry.
There's a light that warns you when the surface is still hot, but that one Is suppose to cool down really quick.
I did a lot of research before I order it.
The wife didn`t want a gas range, she said it`s harder for her to keep clean.

The new bike I ordered at the beginning of September was suppose to arrive this May. Found out today the new expected delivery date is 30 August, which is just about a year after I ordered it.

Curious, Is the induction like an electric stovetop? I HATE cooking on electric. You can’t control/regulate the heat. With gas, when you turn down the flame, it reduces heat. With electric, you have to move the pan, it takes a while for heat to reduce. Is induction different?

My parts are en route!! Some are coming from France so I woke up to a pleasant email telling me that shipping is an extra 66pounds lol.

Italy left without an uptick in shipping however.

My popcorn bucket from Japan arrived today though lol.

We are going to remodel our kitchen at some point so I started looking into these since we have no gas service here (could bury a propane tank and run lines but major investment to do so). I think the induction cooktops heat the pan directly with a magnetic current rather than heating the cooktop surface, so they heat more quickly and more evenly and I believe are easier to keep clean. An electric cooktop gets hot under the pan, which then heats the pan, sometimes unevenly and slower to adjust as you pointed out. Not all pans are compatible with induction. I need to research further but expect we will switch from electric to induction when the time comes.
