For its price, the specs of this car are incredible. Can't wait to start seeing these on the road.

Too bad, they finally fixed the interior, and the performance is fantastic for the dollar.
You are the first person i I've seen express that opinion. Many don't like the rear. A few don't like the front. But everyone agrees the side profile looks exotic and beautiful.

I agree that the side could look better, conveniently, they already know what to do.

Looks nothing like a Corvette, and the side intake is way too big for the rest of the car.

Agree, better for damn sure, especially how the front matches it.

Can you say Ford GT40 and Ford GT? Pontiac Fiero. That's 3 off the top of my head.

Quick lap, on par with a base 911 but i was expecting more originally. I do expect the z06 and zr1 to be complete monsters.

ZL1 wheels definitely suck

You are welcome!

Only if I got a decent DD. I daily the HC & I don't see the C8 as a good winter car I would not be happy if I drove the Acura every day & I really don't wanna make big payments for a car that sits half the year again.

True, true. But who am I supposed to compare myself to then? Factory spec car, pro driver, closed course is as golden standard as it gets.

And sure, the pro driver will always be faster, a C8 is way quicker than my M2, and I'm no pro. But I only have 16 or so laps around the 'Ring so far. This year that will jump to around 80. And I will push my lap times down to high 7s or at least low 8s. And than the 68 second out of this world gap will shrink to ~30s or so. Which I think is a respectable outcome here and something I can be proud of. That's my line of thinking anyway.

The only better comparison would be against the same car. So 7:58 for 2016 M2 is the time. But that's a full lap time, not BTG. BTG would have been 7:35 or so. Giving up about a second per km on the Ring to pro driver would also be something I can live with.

I saw a couple pre-productions models on the street last year. I live in central Ohio, so it is probably trips from Michigan to Bowling Green.

I saw a bunch of NSX's before they were out as well a couple of years ago; one was at my kid's daycare with MFG plates on it.

I adore this new C8. I'm not willing to spend the coin on that. Hopefully when plenty are in the wild the C7 values will tank. I would like to dump the E92 in the next year or so for a new daily, and a C7 is on the shortlist of considerations (as is a '16 - '18 2SS Camaro and a F82).

I really want a G87 M2 but the G-series grilles are looking really bad and the overall styling and rim options are awful. So I am still planning to grab a 3rd year production of the C8. BMW, I want to give you my money but you don't want it.
