It's far too early in the morning to be eyeballing some steak.....dammit. Those jalapenos look like a fine addition.

It didn't occur to me until just now that I didn't take pics to share of last weekends cookery. Saturday, the boys came over for burgers. Black angus, marinated in Allegro - Hickory Smoke, grilled Kings Hawaiian rolls (with onions and slathered in garlic & herb butter, pepper-jack cheese, thick-cut apple wood smoked bacon, fried onions and spicy chipotle sauce. It's only about every few months or so I cook anymore. I must say I was impressed with my effort. If I cooked daily, I'd be back at 200+ pounds.

I'm literally only bolding/quoting this so I can go back to remember later. This sounds like a recipe I need in my life. I am 200+lb so works for me (although I'm taller than you if not mistaken).

I didn't take any pics, but I grilled chicken/shrimp/steak kabobs for the wife and I back on Memorial Day w/sweet peppers, sweet onions, and tomato chunks. Also made some tri-color fingerling potatoes and grilled sauteed onions (for my lunches this week).

What happened to those poor dogs?

I was supposed to grill tri-tip strips last night. We bought them around noon, I sprinkled on some salt and mesquite, then my brother called to go day-drinking for his birthday.

So tonight I'm going to grill so tri-tip strips. . .

Your grille racks are upside down. The wide/flat side should be up (according to Weber).

The little square pads on the corners lift it off of the body of the grill so that the aluminum is not absorbing the heat from the cast iron grates as well.

Actually not necessarily the case…many Weber models have reversible grill racks - flat side for certain types of meats and triangular side for others.

I keep two of my racks flat side up and the other two racks triangular side up - so I don’t have to flip them depending on the meat I’m cooking.

It may be your preference but after a discussion with Weber, they are designed to be used flat side up. Either way, do what you like, it is your grille and grilled food is delicious.
