That warning when selecting the option is not what it means. It showed that warning when ordering it back in April '23 and it still shows that warning. If that were the case of it only being good for 7yrs then someone ordering it now would have 6yrs of service. It's in reference to the maps data.

I'm in between an X5 and a new one of these. I drove the X3 M50 and was very impressed at how luxurious the ride quality was. Engine was amazing, of course.
